Free Miro User
What do you like best about the product?
Mind Mapping feature. Wooowwwww.... I am using different applications and trying to look for less expensive alternatives. But Miro's mind mapping is something that I was not able to find anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a little high for my kind of individual. We are 3 friends using Miro and just want unlimited boards. but 10$ per user.... little high. The free package has Unlimited team members But to just get the unlimited boards feature I have to pay 30$... But it is my personal dislike reason. The product is actually worth the cost.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We, 3 friends, are thinking about startup ideas from different remote locations. Miro helps in our discussion and effective brainstorming sessions. Without miro, traditional whiteboard applications we struggle a lot during drawings etc.
A Versatile Tool for User Research and Workshops
What do you like best about the product?
Miro excels in personal and professional settings, making user research and workshops easy. It allows for seamless remote collaboration, fostering creativity and engagement. Its user-friendly interface with drag-and-drop functionality and various templates simplifies board creation and management. Real-time updates and pre-built templates save time, and interactive features like sticky notes and diagrams keep participants engaged.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro's potential is limited by its lack of integrations with other software, which could enhance its utility. Additionally, it sometimes experiences slow performance, especially with larger boards or during peak usage, disrupting workflow and productivity.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing workshops without being in the same place
The best creative and collaborative tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I have used other whiteboard apps and the ease of navigating in Miro when multiple users are on the board (and the Miroverse) is what makes this the best whiteboard tool. Amazing for collaboration and for doing something different in virtual meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain apps and add-ins are not available in Miro due to Company IT restrictions - Not Miro's fault. The free account only allows for three Miro boards which is definitely not enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lately, I've been using process maps and brainstorming stickies templates to keep all thoughts in one place. I would highly recommend these templates when starting new projects.
Can't live without it!
What do you like best about the product?
Super user friendly, easy to share and colaborate on anything. Multiple people editing and brainstorming, there are a lot of templates for many purposes, so I'm always learning new ways to use Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding more features to connect and use, and ease the creation of templates! Most times my teams have to copy+paste and edit a bunch of stuff to get all our flows in the same visual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Declaration of workflow for complex multisystem processes, defining responsabilities (RACI matrix), having ice breakers, organization personnel chart rethinking, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Search for templates!!!
Life without Miro is hard
What do you like best about the product?
The app is snappy, works really well for collaboration, and full of useful assets and templates!
What do you dislike about the product?
It's fantastic, nothing to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wireframing, giving feedback on website concepts, building UX flows and literally anything else that requires my team o collaborate on.
Miro has the best in class user experience and especially collaboration capabilities.
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use to re-create meaningful white board sessions online is unmatched.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is really nothing I dislike about Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bridging the gap of having the chance to go in to a room and work on white board for a hybrid work model.
A must communication & alignment tool to collaborate in the modern business contexts
What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows multiplying your impact as a team in the same amount of time. You could perform different exercises that allow you to remove boundaries in lots of contexts: is it your SDLC process or team building activity, Miro has it covered. It is more about the mindset of solving things through collaboration, instead of creating siloed static processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
As much as it is agile, it is hard to use it for anything more structured, that needs to be taken care of for a longer time. For example, we keep our team's structure in Miro, which provides a lot of observability, but it is really hard to incorporate in the process of hiring/restructuring because it does not allow a lot of integrations on a semantical level with other, more structured platforms.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Aligning team members on a lot of different topics, visualizing concepts and ideas, discussing team structures, performing people exercises, performing retrospectives.
A powerful online collaboration tool to create shared understanding
What do you like best about the product?
It is a joy to use this tool. The experience is smooth and hassle-free. And to express complex matters, I can use any combination of features I like. I can draw, I can add sticky notes, emojis, icons, pre-defined charts, etc. I feel very expressive and never have I ever felt limited using this tool. In fact, I discovered many different frameworks that I can use to collaborate and come to a shared understanding with customers and business units.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a specific thing that I dislike about Miro. But when I think about it, the only time I use something other than Miro is when I'm creating wireframes. If I could do that as well, my whole workflow would be covered by Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a business analyst, I mostly work with stakeholders from various backgrounds. Instead of using traditional methods and delivering formal documents to come to a shared understanding, I prefer online whiteboard tools to visualize and communicate my ideas. This way we can collaborate in real-time and tackle challenging problems by visualizing things better.
I also like using Miro to guide participants to systematically approach a topic, rather than having a traditional meeting. In doing so, having a library of templates where I can find proven methods and workflows help.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure to have a look around in Miroverse. I'm sure you will find some good frameworks and techniques to step up your game.
Great to organise thoughts and collaborate with others
What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can easily throw ideas onto the board and start connecting the dots.
I can start seeing immerging patterns easily and I can bring others into the board to collaborate and/or run workshops with options for timers, voting and participants following me around the board.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have seen first-time users having some difficulty understanding the interactions at first, especially if they have never used similar programs. Sounds ridiculous, but I also dislike when I have to work outside of Miro, because other tools aren't as useful to me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Miro for all product operations work to map findings and existing patterns. For structuring concepts or ideas to improve product development practices. For workshoping ideations sessions and finally to define change management plans.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest Miro for any organization looking to improve collaboration and structuring complex thoughts easily.
Exceptional app for team coordination, breaking down complex initiatives, and/or difused learning
What do you like best about the product?
Near-instant screenshot pasting, vast canvas, and any object/image/etc. can be linked out to another page. Further, being able to scale any number of objects at once
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! Streamline screenshot flow, unlimited canvas and zoom in/out, in-board multimedia annotating—I would like to have an entire PH.D. worth of material on one board!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Diffused learning on steroids (please see Learning how to Learn on Coursera). When there are a lot of moving parts, you can literally zoom out and in as necessary
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a shot! Maybe see how other people are using it first in the Miro community and on Youtube to get you started, preferably in your industry as well.
