Best collaboration tool out there

  • December 23, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro makes collaboration so simple. It's straightforward to create a board, share it, and start collaborating. It's very intuitive, and people are able to be very efficient in a matter of minutes.

I love how versatile it is; I use it every day for almost every work, collaborative or not. The template library is very rich, and there seems to be a template for nearly everything you can think of. There isn't a single thing I haven't been able to do in Miro, which in my opinion, is very impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. I have a lot of boards, and finding the board I'm looking for is sometimes difficult, especially if I haven't opened it recently. I wish there was a better way to organize and classify the boards.

2. Boards with a lot of content become laggy and unusable.

3. Because Miro has so many feature, sometimes the user interface seems overly complex for the task at hand. I wish there was a way to switch between a basic and advanced mode.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease collaboration between people in the organization, now that we've become a fully distributed company. People fell in love with Miro, and it has become the everyday tool for most. I'd say Miro contributed to improving our productivity and facilitated our switch to a distributed company.

I recommend Miro even to random strangers.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is incredibly flexible. It unlocks teams' creativity, allowing new approaches to collaboration. We started using it as a digital whiteboard, allowing us to brainstorm like we would've pre-pandemic, but it's such a powerful tool that I often use it even in person. From a million truly seamless integrations to icon libraries to next-level inspiring customer education to an adorable brand that makes me happier every time I engage with the product... I love miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were even more integrations. I want to embed a Miro board onto my SharePoint site or maybe into a Salesforce dash. But the biggest disappointment using Miro is that I now have a much higher standard for other products and am more frequently disappointed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has helped with brainstorming and collaboration with remote teams; soliciting participation from shy team members; faster and more flexible process mapping; everything in one place.

Miro the best collaboration tool for remote meeting!

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have a large group of people on the board collaborating at the same time. I have everything in Miro from presentation to collab space.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found anything I dislike. The tool just keeps getting better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Group, remote collaboration is the problem. I used it when I was working at a company when COVID started and, it enabled us to go online easily. Now I use it at my own company for workshopping.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I use it to import my slides and present between slides and collaboration. Makes it an engaging meeting. Survey results from my session average 4.7/5 when using this tool. Everyone loves the experience.

A great option to organize your ideas

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is helpful and very easy to learn how to use. I use it in my daily tasks, organize ideas, and run my scrum routines with my team. The free version is very complete.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it can be a little hard to move the board when you're only using the touchpad. It keeps zooming in or out when I just need to go to the right or go up etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our retros are a lot more fun. The whole team can now participate and add postits and move the items around. We also use the board to create flowcharts of our tasks before developing them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give big names for your flowcharts when you create them because you get addicted to it, and then you have a thousand flowcharts on a board and almost can't find anything.

Jack of All Trades Tool

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The frame templates allow for quick and easy replication of frames.
The open whiteboard concept is something that resonates with me, as someone that always needs to have everything laid out in front of me for a project.
The ability to assign boards to a project is excellent, too.
The boards are automatically being saved, which is helpful. The Export to PDF feature works like a charm, as well. I was very impressed.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to select numeric coordinates within a frame to ensure images and letters lined up appropriately. That is one of the things that I love most about other tools that we use for slide decks, like Pitch and Google Slides.
There are times when the automatic frame alignment can act oddly. I wish I could select whether I wanted to use vertical, horizontal, or freeform alignment when working with multiple frames.
I wish I could create multiple folders within a Project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can create onboarding plans and Success Plans for our customers. The ability to create graphs of standard operating procedures is something else that we've been able to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a tool that gives you lots of freedom, then choose Miro. Images maintain their quality, the customization is top-tier, and the ability to export PDF and share boards with customers and colleagues is incredible.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workflow and visualization of customer journeys and workflows typically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro has allowed our team to share workflow and journey maps in a way that generates consensus and understanding of complex issues and topics.

Great tool for online collaboration

  • December 22, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to brainstorm together online when having a distributed team is essential for us as the team is across multi zones. The template is of good use for us as it alow us to reuse industry standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
some of the templates are compacted and not really clear how to use them. Tracking changes is sometimes tricky and you might miss important updates from the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Miro to map user journies, workflows and draft new product processes. The option to map a business process and double that with the systems involved and the actors is high beneficial for us.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

For me, for my team, for my company

  • December 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I can be as wild or structured as I need it. I can brainstorm alone and go nuts till my thoughts make sense, or prepare a workshop that follows a step-by-step agenda.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the arrows get in my way when I want to drag something. Especially for colleges that are not as firm, this can be an annoyance. The wireframing is handy but has a learning curve, especially the phone, tablet, and desktop frame.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It´s my place for collaboration. It`s like a whiteboard where everyone can draw (with shapes, icons, and wireframing components), and all can stand close to it at once. No one is in each other way anymore.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If there is a home office involved in your work, definitely give it a try. Invite a colleague to experience how you can work together. The first thing I would advise anyone to do on a board is to grab a post-it, write something on it and move it around. With that, you can already do a lot.

A very useful tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Convenient to use on any device. You can quickly illustrate your idea, project plan, or structured thoughts. Present to colleagues and conduct a joint discussion with them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, the limit of private boards on a free account runs out very quickly. This limitation does not prevent you from solving your initial tasks, but you will need to change your subscription in any case as you progress.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Usually, with the help of Miro tools, I can draw architectural diagrams for complex IT ideas and projects. The second area of use is creating mind maps or algorithm descriptions. Fast, convenient, and visual.
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Effortless Workflow Visualization, Highly Recommended

  • December 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Miro immensely valuable for visualizing workflows and translating the content of my mind into something tangible. The tool excels in communicating workflows and solutions to complex problems, enabling discussions around a shared reality, which I appreciate significantly. The unbounded space to work offers flexibility and room for creativity. I love the easy onboarding experience, as Miro performs exactly as expected from the first use. This initial setup was very easy, supporting a seamless introduction to its features and functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it problematic that Miro does not allow me to change the size of shapes without altering the size of the text inside them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to visualize and communicate workflows and solutions to complex problems in a visual way, facilitating discussions around a shared reality with its unbounded space.
