Miro is a game changer

What do you like best about the product?
Miro changed the way we have our daily meetings and ideation sessions. The collaboration features provides freedom to the users. The possibility to bring everyone to your viewpoint is great. Besides it, even when working solo, it is a great tool, because it allows you something close to the feeling of a blank paper sheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
We lack something like formulas on spreadsheets. It would be interesting to insert tables inside table cells, to give you the freedom to zoom in for more details inside a specific cell. Another thing nice would be to use scales to measure drawings, more pencil, brushes and color options, and the possibility to insert xreferenced 3d models (sketchup, bim...). The exporting tool could allow you to choose which sheets to make pdf. It could be something odd, but having a tool that could simulate dice throwing would be useful for contests. Another nice addition could be the possibility to play background music, and audio effects to call someone in particular, or everybody.Play videos on the board. Hide and reveal parts of the board, something like dynamic light centered on each user cursor. The possibility to export the mind maps.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visual planning, meeting support, ideation sessions, dashboard with Google sheets xreferenced files, basic image edition, social media content planning, creating backlog for activities, creating moodboards for every new project with image references, links to videos, links to external sites to ring additional information related to the content we are working on, agenda for meetings and to keep contacts, relating them.

We started using Miro for remote collaborative work, now we cannot work without it

  • May 13, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
Our team was already using Miro prior to the lockdown, but just for brainstorming sessions.
When the lockdown came, we decided that Miro would be a good software to help with remote collaboration. And we were so right. We started to explore the capabilities of the platform and every week we would discover new ways that Miro could help us work better as a team.
Right now, Miro is the main software for every project we manage.
It solves multiple use-cases, from brainstorming to planning, from strategy to prototyping.
We've also reduced the use of other tools because Miro replaced them for the most part; this highly increased productivity since we now have a centralized place for everything related to each project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes Miro feels too heavy on loading times and computer CPU, it's almost impossible to have 2 open boards at the same time.
The windows installable app is highly instable and crashes frequently.
One feature that is still underdeveloped is the mindmap tool that compares poorly to other standalone mindmap tools, we hope a future release would improve this feature.
The audio/video features work ok for up to 4 people, above that we tend to switch to another conference platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro for business model canvas, brand sprints, brainstorming sessions, agile management, weekly and monthly planning, prototyping landing pages and apps, basically we use it for everything project related. It's the main repository for everything related to each project.
The default templates and Miroverse (templates from the community) are a goldmine to increase our efficiency and creativity. We've discovered many new exercises, frameworks, and canvas that we didn't knew about. That allowed us to solve problems and collaborate in many different ways.
Inspired by the Miroverse templates, we are now also developing our own repository of templates that we came up with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
At first, Miro seems to have a high learning curve since it solves so many different use-cases. Try to start just by exploring with brainstorming features and post-it to get comfortable with it. Pretty soon, you and your team will feel comfortable exploring the templates and understand the many use-cases available to simplify your team work.

What do you like best about the product?
I couldn't be without Miro now! I am a visual thinker, so it helps with my personal projects as well as (of course) collaboration. Brilliant for show casing and collaborating on UX designs, for analysing user research data, for workshops and for journey mapping. All in all an indispensible digital tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Miro is great. I can't think of a thing I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration!
Visual thinking
Workshopping

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to create notes, ideas, collect and arrange photos and files all in 1 place while collaborating with my teammates, especially during these semi-remote times of COVID.
What do you dislike about the product?
No custom color options for sticky notes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If anything, it's solved the challenge of multiple people being in different locations who need to collaborate together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is an easy-to-use and reasonably priced collaboration tool for many uses.
It's been an incredible asset for my team and me to ideate intelligently and effectively!

The most intuitive online whiteboard collaboration tool

  • May 05, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We're a creative digital consultancy that has been using Miro for over five years now. It started as a place to do digital post-its and brainstorms, but now with all the integrations it's become a core part of our workflow (and we've brought our clients along for the ride). The templates are super helpful from respected sources - we've even made some branded templates for our own internal use. Most importantly, we've been able to get all our team members working in one place, including external clients and partners.

We've tried other whiteboard tools like Mural, but Miro has a more intuitive interface and better feature set. The integrations with core tools like Jira and Google Docs weave it into our existing workflows. The latest AI tools are the cherry on top!
What do you dislike about the product?
We use the boards so heavily, sometimes if we copy paste many high-res images and have many people (dozens) on at once, it can get a bit laggy... but we're power-users, so that's an extreme situation.

In the past multiple account management has been challenging (as a consultancy we have accounts on both our own organisation, as well as our client organisations) but Miro has cleaned that up since, and now it's easy to switch back and forth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a tech consultancy, and so we use the boards to organize projects, plan tasks, brainstorm ideas, host workshops with clients, capture research findings, and present our recommendations. We practically live on Miro!

Miro is amazeballs

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to collaborate in these remote times effectively has been top of mind for our teams. Miro stood out among the various solutions due to its ease of use, its rich feature set, and the beneficial and insightful Miro community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, there's nothing I dislike about it. Very heavy boards can be a little slow at times, but I feel like that is more related to network bandwidth rather than Miro platform performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Online/Remote collaboration was the key driver for our investment in Miro. It has definitely aided us to respond more quickly to change and to rapidly align our teams on those changes.

Miro Whiteboard is almost indispensable now for our Team Collaboration

  • May 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, sharability and affordability. The Miro board is really quite intuitive to use and a great way to share and present ideas and reports.
For a fairly minimum subscription you can also allow your colleagues to comment and alter your Boards. We have begun to use it regularly for committe meetings where all of the materials and links can be prepared in advance on the Board and maintained there for those who didn't make it to the meeting!
I also love the ease with which we can create links, images, and resource folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I hadn't discovered it earlier.
It's hard to find fault actually and some of my comments might only illustrate my complete ignorance of the technology.
Could there be a way of 'running' a Powerpoint file within the Board?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me gather my thoughts and resources in one place..
It provides a fantastic platform for working in a Team that is scattered - and particularly in creating a useful space for having meetings.
It's a great way for collaborating with colleagues across digital space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I haven't found anything remotely as good.

The ability to share my work in real time
What do you dislike about the product?
Not having the opportunity to use ruler and guides
