Collaboration has improved and remote meetings deliver clear communication and faster decisions

  • May 29, 2026
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Webex is used primarily for team meetings, client discussions, project updates, and remote collaboration. It enables video conferences, screen sharing, and communication with both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Webex is used regularly for project discussions with team members and clients. Recently, it was used for a website project review where screens were shared, feedback was discussed in real time, and alignment was achieved on the next development tasks, which helped avoid lengthy email exchanges.

The main use case for Webex is collaboration, as it allows easy connection with external stakeholders.

What is most valuable?

The best features Webex offers are video conferencing, screen sharing, meeting recording, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and clients. The call quality and ease of joining meetings make it convenient for daily use.

The call quality is generally stable with clear audio and video, even during long meetings. Joining a meeting is straightforward through a meeting link, which makes it easy for both team members and clients to connect without much setup or troubleshooting.

Screen sharing is appreciated as a feature. During discussions and demos, it makes collaboration more effective, especially when reviewing designs, websites, or project progress with clients and team members.

Webex has positively impacted the organization by improving communication and collaboration across the team. It makes it easier to conduct meetings, share updates, and resolve issues quickly, which helps keep projects moving efficiently, especially when working remotely with team members and clients.

What needs improvement?

The overall experience with Webex is good, but the interface could be more intuitive in some areas, especially for new users. Improvements to meeting controls, notifications, and performance during large meetings would make the experience smoother.

Better integration with other productivity tools and a more streamlined user experience across desktop and mobile devices in Webex would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

Webex has been used for the past year.

What other advice do I have?

The accuracy of Webex's AI capabilities is noticeably higher. Real-time outputs can be seen, which helps understand the content easily.

Webex is deployed as a cloud-based service, which allows team members to access meeting collaboration tools easily from different locations without managing on-premise infrastructure.

I am not directly involved in managing Webex infrastructure, so I am not certain which specific cloud provider is used. From an end-user perspective, Webex is simply accessed as a cloud-hosted service.

Webex should be evaluated based on collaboration needs, especially if reliable video conferencing, screen sharing, and enterprise-grade security are required. Running a pilot with your team first is worthwhile to ensure it fits your workflows and integrates with the tools already in use. This review has been rated eight out of ten.

AI meeting notes and noise-free calls have boosted collaboration and saved significant time

  • May 25, 2026
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

Webex is primarily used for customer meetings, collaboration with team members, presenting to customers, and virtual calls with customers. In my daily work, I get on the meeting and take the discussion forward using Webex.

What is most valuable?

Webex offers exceptional sound and video qualities, which I find to be the best. The second standout feature is background noise cancellation, which effectively filters out background noise when someone is speaking. The third feature is the AI-powered intelligence that notes down minutes of the meeting, allowing us to concentrate on the content rather than jotting down points.

I find the seamless way of connecting with people in Webex useful; it allows for an effortless meeting experience. Additionally, real-time translation is another important feature of Webex that helps break language barriers.

Webex has definitely improved productivity and communication within my organization. Communication has increased because we are just one Webex call away for any doubts related to creating a PowerPoint presentation or an architectural diagram, and we can focus on the meeting without worrying about jotting down points since someone is taking notes on our behalf. My team regularly uses this feature, and I would say it saves us about half an hour per meeting, with the AI-powered intelligence saving that 30 minutes easily.

What needs improvement?

Webex is top-notch at this point in time. The only improvement I see is related to RAM and CPU usage, as older systems with 4GB RAM or i3 processors might slow down the application. I do not have any challenges in terms of performance, but making the application a little lightweight would help.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working in my current field for nine years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Webex is very stable in my experience; I have not faced any downtime issues.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Webex can handle any organization's growth and increased users. It is not per device but per user, making it easy to add users.

How was the initial setup?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is great; the pricing model is very transparent with a per user, per year license.

What was our ROI?

Time is the biggest asset, and I have saved a huge amount of time instead of waiting, which significantly contributes to my overall time savings.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Webex is to go for it; there are absolutely no two ways about it. Webex is one of the best collaboration solutions available in the market. I give this product a rating of 9.

Helps you with remote support and collaboration

  • August 14, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

The vendor who supports me uses Webex for technical support. They set up Webex, and we are able to connect with each other. Some people use Webex to do sales pitch presentations for various solutions. They send me a Webex link, and I can join and have our conversation.

What is most valuable?

Webex is a collaboration tool that helps you with remote support and collaboration.

What needs improvement?

The solution's initial setup process is lengthy. The tool takes a bit of time to download. When you are at the tail end of starting up a meeting, installing Webex will delay you.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution's stability is great during meetings unless there are network fluctuations, in which case you start having the usual problems.

How was the initial setup?

The solution needs to make the installer packages lighter. This would reduce the turnaround time to download, which would speed up the installation.

What other advice do I have?

The solution's video conferencing quality is great, and I rate it a seven out of ten.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.

Easy to use, enables remote meetings, and saves time and money

  • August 14, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We deployed the product in our headquarters and connected our four plants. It enables us to meet remotely. We use the tool for remote meetings. I work in the manufacturing sector.

What is most valuable?

The product is easy to use. We are very comfortable with it. The video call features are compatible with different devices like Polycom. The product saves time and money. I am satisfied with the tool 100%.

What needs improvement?

If customers cannot renew their subscription within one year, Cisco should give them a two to three-month extension. It will allow the customers to continue with the subscription and sessions. The solution must provide a plan to extend the subscription by three months.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the solution for more than four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the tool’s stability a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the tool’s scalability a nine out of ten. We have five licenses to connect with the headquarters remotely. We have almost 20 to 25 users.

How are customer service and support?

I contacted the support team last year. The support people responded quickly and solved our problems easily.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used a different solution before. Then, we migrated to Webex. We have been using it for the last four years because it is very comfortable and easy to use.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is easy. I rate the ease of setup a ten out of ten. It can be deployed on public, private, or hybrid cloud.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool is expensive. It costs approximately $6000 per year. The vendor must work on the pricing. $3500 to $4500 would be more reasonable. Webex is much more expensive than the other brands.

What other advice do I have?

We are planning to upgrade our subscription plan. I recommend Webex over other products to my friends in the industry. Cisco has its own engineers. They work well. We are a small organization.

Overall, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.

Helpful to hold meetings and to improve workflow

  • April 24, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I use the solution in my company only if there is a meeting, so I don't have much knowledge about it even though I am a user.

What needs improvement?

I think the tool should make it easier to receive reports related to areas like how many participants are there in a meeting, comments, and file transfers inside the app. It is not so easy to obtain information in areas like the number of participants, comments, and file transfers inside the application.

Making a recording and downloading it is not so easy on Webex.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have four years of experience with Webex.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I never had any issues with the stability of the product. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I believe that everyone in my company uses the product. There are more than 500 people in my organization using Webex.

The product is used once a week in my company.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have current experience with Microsoft Teams. I have used Zoom, Skype, and Google Meet.

After finishing a meeting, whenever my company tries to get certain recordings, Zoom or Skype provides it during the first 30 days after a meeting. With Webex, my company has to request the IT team to download and send the recordings of the meeting, making it a not-so-easy process.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the product's initial setup phase a ten on a scale of one to ten, where one means it is a difficult process and ten means it is an easy process.

Honestly, the employees in my company cannot download Webex, as the administrators manage it. I don't know about the time required to deploy the product.

What other advice do I have?

The product was helpful in improving workflow in my company, especially during the pandemic period, for reasons like recording training and showing some evidence of work.

In my opinion, the current appearance of the product is nice. There is no need for any change to be made in the appearance of the tool. I think that the present appearance of the product makes it easy for the people in our company to see what they want.

The product is very good. I understand the internal rules associated with the company's end in relation to Webex. Some of my colleagues have a personal room, and for them, it is easy to get reports, record meetings, and get downloads.

I recommended the product to others who plan to use it.

In my company, there is a need to use software for meetings. I think that Webex's competitors offer better tools.

I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

Helps to save time by conducting meetings in a hybrid setup

  • April 23, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use the tool for internal and client meetings, webinars, and presentations.

What is most valuable?

The tool simplifies our work by allowing us to have hybrid meetings instead of always meeting in person, which saves time in organizing these meetings. It also offers good video quality.

Webex helps to prevent unwanted guests from popping up in your meeting.
The video quality is fine, and I wouldn't expect it to be better. I'm not sure about the computing resources required to optimize the video delivery, though.

On Webex, I find the option to capture the talking points of each participant valuable. Also, features like adding emojis during live presentations help in getting live feedback from participants.

The security features are quite robust because they allow you only to permit entry from participants authorized by the organizer.

What needs improvement?

The product needs to improve its integration. I'm not sure how difficult it is for the IT team to set up the integration. Once set up, it's easy but still not as straightforward as other platforms, like Microsoft Teams, where everything is within the same technical environment. To ensure further security, face authentication should also be added for all internal corporate users logged into the platform.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the product for a few years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Webex is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The tool is scalable since it can support big audiences. My company has 30 users, but I've worked in previous corporations where we had tens of thousands of users.

How was the initial setup?

The tool's deployment is complex compared to other platforms. It needs to be more user-friendly in this area. It took about 10-15 minutes to complete.

What about the implementation team?

As a user, the corporation may need an integrator to configure the setup.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The tool's licensing is expensive, but it should be cheaper.

What other advice do I have?

I rate the overall solution a nine out of ten.

Provides predictive information about system and triggers alerts when the resource consumption reaches 100 percent

  • April 22, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We use Webex primarily to get predictive information about our system. For instance, it alerts us if there's a change in application behavior, like latency in transactions or when CPU and memory usage are 100 percent. This helps us ensure our processes stay stable.

What is most valuable?

The tool alerts us when there are issues with our Kubernetes environment, such as excessive container usage. This allows our operations team to quickly identify and address these issues, reducing the time it takes to resolve them.

The most valuable feature of Webex is its ability to monitor our infrastructure. It helps us keep track of security, memory usage, CPU, and more, ensuring our applications run well.

What needs improvement?

Greater visibility beyond infrastructure metrics would be beneficial. We could leverage insights into business performance indicators as well. I believe that incorporating more predictive capabilities into Webex for the next version would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the product for three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the product's stability an eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the tool's scalability a ten out of ten. My company has more than 1000 users.

How are customer service and support?

Occasionally, we need quick assistance, especially when facing issues. However, with standard support, response times can be delayed.

How was the initial setup?

I rate the tool's ease of deployment an eight out of ten. Setting up Webex wasn't complex for me at all. It was quite easy. The access and tools provided made the process straightforward. Overall, I didn't encounter any complications.

You need two resources to handle the deployment. The deployment process involves utilizing the lab confirmation. We handle various configurations, including Azure DevOps for CI/CD and Octopus tools.

What other advice do I have?

I rate the overall product an eight out of ten.

Helps to collaborate with team in real-time, share screens, and use a whiteboard

  • April 22, 2024
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is most valuable?

Webex helps us collaborate better. We can work with customers and our team in real-time, share screens, and use a whiteboard. It's been really helpful.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using the product for two to three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I rate the product's scalability a nine out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

I rate the tool's scalability a nine out of ten. Our organization uses Webex, and its users include project managers, development team leads, and consultants like myself.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't contacted the technical support yet.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We used GoTo Meeting before Webex. I do have confidence in Cisco technology since we've used Cisco switches and support in the past, so Webex, being from Cisco, seems promising.

How was the initial setup?

I would rate my experience with the initial setup as a nine out of ten. It was very easy and straightforward, and I've always had a good experience with it.
Webex is deployed in our organization primarily for consultants and teams. Whenever a customer requires us to discuss certain products or topics, we use the tool to facilitate those discussions and bring everyone together for meetings.

The deployment is quick. We download it from the web, install it, and start using it. There's no extensive company-wide deployment of the tool in our organization. It's primarily used by consultants engaging with customers who prefer Webex for meetings. I've never initiated a Webex meeting myself. Typically, it takes less than five minutes from downloading to join a meeting.

What other advice do I have?

I've been using Webex to meet customer requirements. I tend to use Zoom for team-related activities. However, if the customer prefers Webex, Zoom, or Teams, we adapt accordingly.

I'm using a hybrid setup, including on-premises and hybrid cloud environments. Our approach is driven by customer requirements because we prioritize serving our customers. We support platforms like Azure, AWS, and private or hybrid cloud, including on-premises deployments.

I rate the product a nine out of ten.

I use the solution in my company to call our clients and manage areas such as business collaborations and webinars.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable features of the solution revolve around stability and performance. The average networking speed offered by the product is good.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

There is a need to pay the licensing charges to use Webex Enterprise Edition.

What other advice do I have?

The product has simplified the remote work in our company, especially when we have to have client meetings and there is a need to add our internal team members who are working remotely.

The video quality, screen, and interface offered by the product are good.

From my side, I would recommend the product to others.

The product's security features seem good, but I don't know much about them.

The conference quality offered by the tool is good.

I rate the overall tool a nine out of ten.
