Virtualization
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct allows Finance team to become virtual (work from home or anywhere) and this allows us to remain connect with all the necessary financial process.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nexonia only work with cash management module - want to see this work with A/P and Purchasing modules so can tied with vendors. This will help improve 1099 reporting, vendors expenditure reporting, tie to purchase order.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboard & Reporting has been significant improvement.
Great Improvement Over Quickbooks
What do you like best about the product?
We love the ease of use, customization, and the ability yo access our data from anywhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a little costly for a small business, but it is worth it if you are pushing the limits of an off the shelf software package.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have experienced rapid growth and the need to manage many transactions and reports.

Highly recommended.
Excellent Product
What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of the system and the constant improvement of the product. In the 8 years I have used the product, it has gone from a really good product to an excellent product. Our organization operates with greater efficiency because of the purchasing workflows. Also, dashboards reduce the custom reports we have to run for our various teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside to me is the user structure. We have users that are more than employee users, but may only need one more function. We are required to make them business users and that substantially increases cost. It would be great to have a mid level user that is less expensive, but adds limited features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The first major improvement was with our purchasing system. We had a very manual process, but now everything flows electronically through the system. People are notified when they need to approve and the requester is notified when the PO is approved. Another improvement was to our financial reporting. We used to have to provide manual reports periodically to our teams, but now they can login to see their dashboards and other data. Our teams now have quicker purchase approvals and greater access to their financial data.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask questions about how to fit the system to your processes. There is greater flexibility than the standard setup.
Seemless Muti-Entity Multi-Currency Consolidations
What do you like best about the product?
When we were searching for a new accounting system to replace QuickBooks there were several requirements that were necessary have in our search and evaluation.
1) Seamless Consolidation of Muti-Entities using multiple currencies.
2) The ability to use dimensions to reduce the size of our chart of accounts.
3) Dashboards for key operating metrics and report distribution for management.
Intacct hit on all three of our requirements in a big way. The consolidation is now prepared with the push of a button whereas in the past with QuickBooks the consolidation was a very manual and time consuming process in excel that generally took about a week to prepare.
Using dimensions, we are able to tag each transaction with key attributes that were important for our end using reporting. The use of dimensions has allowed us to create multiple reports utilizing locations, regions, cost centers etc.
Dashboards have been a great way to eliminate paper reports by creating custom dashboards with key operating metrics for each manager. These dashboards are real-time and allow management to makes decisions with timely, accurate data.
4) Upload templates have also been a huge time saver for input of journal entries and accounts payable bills.

I really cant find anything that I dislike in the system.

The benefits of Intacct have been significant. From a time saving perspective we have saved many man hours per month when we implemented Intacct. Now more time can be spent reviewing the data and being able to make timely decisions on accurate data.
The controls around the system prevent transactions from being deleted. There is always a great audit trail. I felt with QuickBooks there were no controls over data input and modifications.
The most important benefit has been being able to produce timely accurate data with the ability to deliver seamless reports and dashboards to senior management so that the business decision makers have timely and accurate data at their fingertips to make smart decisions.

Intacct is an efficient system that has allowed us to manager 50 joint venture entities with ease.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Intacct is easy to navigate, it's reliable, flexible and handles complicated entity structures.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the report formatting could be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Moving to Intacct has allowed us to dump off Excel consolidation schedules which has saves us hundreds of hours of work and we became much more efficient at the same time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find out all the modules that you need and implement them right away. Utilize all the Intacct has to offer, the sooner you do the more efficient you will become.

AP & AR modules need more work. Cannot break a single invoice into multiple charges to different locations and get an accurate aging buy location.

The heart of our paperless finance solution
What do you like best about the product?
Intacct has allowed us to create a paperless finance office, and we love how Intacct integrates with our other solutions such as Adaptive Insights, ADP, bill.com, Blackline and Tallie
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom Reporting tools could be improved. We understand that new tools are soon to be released.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboards give real-time results to manage the business. Statistical accounts allow us to measure financial performance based on non-financial metrics. Time to close is shorter as tedious manual processes with spreadsheet uploads are greatly reduced. Audit review is so much easier as auditors can be given access to the system to pull their own backup and audit trail for transaction review.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Changing accounting systems is always more work than you think, and your finance team has day to day work to do, so you need more resource and more time than you expect.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
We started utilizing Intacct 5/6 years ago when we much smaller. Product was able to scale with us in full and really allow us success in becoming a public company and managing M&A entities as we scaled.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing off hand is really noted from the product. We are very happy overall
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have received many benefits from ease of consolidation, to managing very large amounts of data in our system.

Great product and great management team We cannot say enough things about this product and how great Aaron Harris and his team has been. Armanino has also been a great support team

I like that it shows accounts payable and recievable

This product does exactly what I want and more!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us break out our Aging Report and see where we are out and who needs to pay us/who we need to pay.
Flexible
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility in report writing and the customization of the platform for a small business
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the report writing isn't as intuitive so you need a 3rd party to write some for us.
