User-Friendly Layout Makes Data Easy to Navigate

Its layout is very user friendly and any data can be navigated very easily even with little or no knowledge about the software

sometimes the ledger loading time is quite a lot when downloading the ledger for a year or more

Feature-Rich Accounting with Excellent Support

What do you like best about the product?
I like Sage Intacct's easy-to-use user interface, where the menus are user-friendly and logical. There's lots of support available, and I find the Intacct support community to be a good resource. Our support tickets are answered quickly, which is really helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Drill-down clicking on amounts could be better. Some items can't be drilled down, and sometimes the detail provided is not sufficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct allows us to record, consolidate, and report financial information effectively. It offers more functionality for reporting compared to Quickbooks.

Intuitive, Paperless Accounting That Streamlines Monthly Close and Audits

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to maneuver through the application. The product is intuitive and simple for managers and leaders to drill into the application to find their own answers. The application has allowed us to be almost entirely paperless and simplifies closing the books on a monthly basis. In addition by granting our auditors read only access to the application our audit has become more efficient and less burdensome for staff as auditors can drill and pull supporting documents themselves cutting down on requests for additional supporting documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Custom report writing is a bit cumbersome and takes some learning especially when it comes to understanding reporting groups. When adding new accounts the user needs to be aware that the new account may not be properly mapped to one of the groups and could therefore put reports out of balance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows front line staff to enter purchasing requests that are approved by management cutting down on mistakes and automating the workflow for purchasing. Sage also allows for importing of transactions and transaction activity from the CMS and POS systems which allows for daily and monthly revenue balancing with our core systems thereby cutting down on data entry labor and data entry errors. The internal communication system allows for audit trails and notes to be attached to transactions creating a single source for information related to the financial statements. The collaboration feature keeps things contained in the system and the cloud based solution allows executive management to stay connected when off property.

What do you like best about the product?
Functionality and the personalization to fit your business and accounting needs is great, very easy to get started and become an expert, can connect to numerous third party applications to allow seamless flow of data, haven't even had to utilize customer support as have not had any major issues, use it every day and I enjoy working within the application and finding new ways to improve my processes
What do you dislike about the product?
Certain features may be buried within the different modules and sometimes hard to find, the journal entry import and importing information in general can sometimes be tricky to get it to work properly

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct is very good accounting software. It allows the easy integration with other softwares via APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is difficult to understand for the new users. They have complex account numbers, passwords and URLs.

Sage Intacct is solving the accounting related issues. It provides us way to send invoices to customer and customer can pay from there.

Robust reporting has transformed our journals and reconciliations and supports data‑driven decisions

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Sage Intacct at Navis HealthCare involves performing a significant number of journal entries, reconciliations, cash reconciliations, inter-company transfers, and it serves as our general accounting package where I handle uploads for payroll and other functions.

A specific task that I recently completed using Sage Intacct is the implementation of Sage AI packages into our software, alongside my ongoing work on reconciliations for our balance sheet accounts.

What is most valuable?

Sage Intacct offers exceptional features including the integration of multiple entities and the contracts module, which is a very powerful tool, as is the projects module. As a former implementer of Sage, I have nothing but positive things to say about it and can mostly think of positives rather than negatives.

The contracts module has helped us track our clients with multiple contracts by the contract itself, rather than just by the project or particular customer, providing us with another dimension to slice and dice our information.

An example of how the reporting tool has helped my team make decisions is that it continually enables us to see where our money is going, which projects and contracts are consuming our resources, and which ones are actually making the company money. The reporting tool also made it incredibly easy to provide potential investors with the necessary information quickly and easily instead of it taking months. Sage Intacct has positively impacted our organization by providing us with a robust reporting tool that allows us to see into the background of financials without a lot of added effort.

What needs improvement?

I wish Sage Intacct had a more robust interface with their help desk, as right now getting help with Sage is sometimes slow and clunky. However, we are fortunate to have a fantastic customer representative who goes above and beyond to get me answers quickly, but that is because we are a large customer and one they are actively pursuing since we added a lot of functionality in the last year.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Sage Intacct on and off since 2012, so fifteen years.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Before Sage Intacct, I have used many other solutions including Sage 50, QuickBooks, and some proprietary software at different organizations. By far, Sage Intacct is the easiest to use and the best.

What was our ROI?

I have seen an astronomical return on investment with Sage Intacct, particularly regarding time saved. We are in the process of deploying some of the AI tools available within Sage Intacct, specifically the close tool, which is going to be a huge time saver for our monthly close.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I was not part of the evaluation process for other options before choosing Sage Intacct, which is why I point out that using AI for this type of thing may not be the best idea.

What other advice do I have?

My advice to others looking into using Sage Intacct is to please get a professional implementer to handle the implementation. One problem at Navis HealthCare is that it was poorly implemented, and I have spent the past six months cleaning up their instance with a significant amount of work still ahead of me. I provide this review with an overall rating of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
Sage Intacct has been a reliable and a great financial management program. It has enables us to automate several processes like allocations, approvals and recurring entries enabling us to save alot of time. Using sage Intacct we are able to import bank files that enables us to have a smooth bank reconciliation process. It aslo offers great real time dashboards that are clean and customizable. We are aslo able to customize dimensions,fields and reports very easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sage Intacct user interface feels outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sage Intacct has been able to streamline our analytics and reporting capabilities. It's highly customizable and we are able to automate several processes. Sage Intacct customer support team are top notch.

Streamlined Reporting but Needs Departmental Allocation Fix

What do you like best about the product?
I love Sage Intacct’s reporting capabilities. It has dramatically reduced the reporting period by minimizing the reliance on Excel spreadsheets. I can now create the same reports within Sage Intacct, which simplifies the reporting process significantly. Additionally, managers can view their customized reports directly on their dashboards without needing me to send them via Excel, allowing for a tailored and efficient experience. The platform’s ability to operate seamlessly in a remote environment is invaluable as it allows transactions, vendor bill approvals, and expense management to be handled from any location, which streamlines our workflow tremendously. My team is thrilled with Sage Intacct as it offers significantly more capabilities compared to our previous accounting system, Blackbaud Financial Edge.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the main Accounts Payable module in Sage Intacct does not allow for entering expenses across multiple departments. This limitation requires us to perform additional steps, like allocating an invoice to a single department and then doing a journal entry for distribution across departments. I find this process cumbersome and not efficient for handling invoices that involve multiple managers or departments. Moreover, there is a lack of functionality for nonprofit organizations to manage endowments directly within the system. This necessitates continued reliance on external sheets, like Excel, to manage assets and their financial details, which feels outdated and inefficient.

I use Sage Intacct for accounts management and it streamlines approvals and transactions remotely. Its reporting capabilities simplify the reporting process, reducing reliance on Excel, and enable customized dashboards for managers.
