What do you like best about the product?
Alteryx is simple enough with its drag-and-drop interface to be picked up quickly. But it is sophisticated enough
to keep me challenged as I learn new Skills. It can use Python and create macros using existing tools that allow for great flexibility.

What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally some bugs need working out. But the release notes keep you updated on what is what, and they are receptive to reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Alteryx to Prep data for tableau and to create reports. This is instrumental to our reporting on financial information and to respond to standard industry audits. I also blend and prep to create complex automated financial reporting which has saved hundereds of hours of manual work.

What do you like best about the product?
As a data consultancy firm, Alteryx is at the core of our operations. It's one of the key software solutions we specialize in. Alteryx addresses a multitude of business challenges with remarkable efficiency. Honestly, not much. I do find resizing the panes within designer to be quite frustrating as you have to be precise with your pointer

I built a workflow that uses Alteryx community's RESTAPI. It identifies the challenges/posts made by the technical team I work in. It identifies the current week-to-date and month-to-date for Weekly Challenges completed and uses a custom look-up table for points based on challenge difficulty. It pushes this information out to a sharepoint list and also drops a quick daily reminder with a snapshot of the current weekly challenge leaders for motivation.

What do you like best about the product?
The online learning program, the ease of use and customization, and the community.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ambiguous error messages sometimes, finicky macros sometimes, hard to pin-point tool connection strings sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly data transformation and accessibility. Alteryx is helping every area of our business become more data literate.

What do you like best about the product?
Its state-of-the-art drag-and-drop functionality. Alteryx takes input from the users on all the functionality they require and implements them in no time in their releases. Takes priority in resolving the bugs in the latest releases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Too much price for the server edition. If we have a firewalled DB and needs an Alteryx designer in the cloud machine, Alteryx charges twice for the server edition
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a team of freshers who were able to quickly ramp up to the Alteryx tool. We built a scalable and optimized data warehouse for one of the fortune 500 companies. The pipelines/workflows are easy to document and maintain.

What do you like best about the product?
There is no limitation to the amount of data it can handle. The ability to join different tables makes it by far superior to excel and google sheets. Its a must have tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be improved abit and that there is still no version for MacOS

Being able to manipulate data without having to write code. It combines excel and SQL and makes it very simple to do multiple operations with just a click of a button

alteryx is one of the best tool i've ever worked on, one of the key feature i like most is data gathering.
having everything done start to finish in Alteryx rather than having to do data manipulation in excel.
The forums have helped me with some problems I run into within minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?
everything has its own downsides but i haven't seen any so far in alteryx except its not available for MAC OS users but this is going to be covered once the platform goes on cloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
keeping track of analytics and collecting data from different platforms is helping me a lot.
Connection to various data sources.
I think an understanding of data analytics and/or prep will become one of those bare minimum skills required and Alteryx is helping us all get there.

automated data preparation is the best about Alteryx and I would love to use this tool for long

gathering and preparing the huge amount of data is really complicated and Alteryx gave us benifit to solve that issue
It was very easy to use as there was guidance of each command.

You can search command masha Allah and input them in the canvas.

Maybe the part where it does not show the result of your work automatically. You will have to run the work yourself to see the output.

It making data analyzing smoother and faster. It is minimizing my work hour and making my job easy and reliable.
Alteryx is a jack of all trades when it comes to streamlining processes
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use with tools, compatibility with databases, HTML, and flat files. Highly translatable to other languages, intuative usage is a catalyst to learning more complex capabilities. Reduces all of my processes time since tools are sometimes easier to configure than an extensive, complex, long excel formula. Reduces scope of tools used to streamline a process, having everything done start to finish in Alteryx rather than having to do data manipulation in excel, power query, and more excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it was quicker to set up input tools, like if I need to connect to a flat file or database. The text input tool is not as easy to edit or set-up like the ease of creating a table in excel. The learning curve can become wider when trying to learn advanced capabilities in the developer tab, and there doesn't seem to be as much content for these tool like the copious amount of resources for core designing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am developing a forecasting calculation and process for a manager in my organization, and Alteryx is doing major heavy-lifting for me when it comes to data manipulation and adding ad-hoc analysis we may not have realized before. Replicating this process outside of Alteryx would be strenuous with creating tedious excel formulas, unnecessary files and tabs, and could also cause data concerns if a cell is disrupted. With Alteryx, there's no need to worry about cell disruption when reviewing a million-row data set. Long excel formulas are another point-of-concern that is eliminated with Alteryx. With legacy processes, new analysts can more easily apprehend what a workflow tool is achieving, rather than spending time trying to dissect a long formula with multiple functions embedded in it.
