Drag-and-Drop ETL That Makes Data Prep Fast, Repeatable, and Code-Free
Reviewed on Jul 10, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
he drag-and-drop workflow is what stands out most to me. I can build data prep, blending, and transformation as a visual sequence of tools without writing code, which makes complex ETL approachable and fast. Joining and cleaning data from multiple sources — Excel, databases, APIs — that used to take hours of manual work in Excel now runs in a repeatable workflow I can rerun with a single click. The built-in analytics (including spatial) and the option to drop in Python/R when needed give it a lot of range, and the learning curve is gentle enough that non-developers on my team became productive quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawback for me is the cost: the per-seat licensing is expensive, which makes it difficult to roll it out broadly across a team. Performance can also slow down when working with very large datasets because it’s primarily desktop-centric, so at big-data volumes it doesn’t scale as well as cloud- or Spark-based tools. Also, while the basics are fairly approachable, some of the more advanced features come with a noticeably steeper learning curve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It replaces slow, error-prone manual data preparation. Recurring cleaning and blending tasks that used to be done by hand are now automated into repeatable workflows, saving significant time each cycle while improving accuracy and consistency. As a result, analysts can focus on analysis instead of data wrangling, and it’s easy to hand off or rerun processes without relying on a single person.

Reliable solution for data processing

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Alteryx is its ability to automate repetitive data preparation and reporting tasks. The drag-and-drop interface makes it straightforward to clean, combine, and analyze data from multiple sources, which saves time and helps reduce manual errors. Overall, it improves efficiency and lets me spend more time on analysis instead of getting stuck in data processing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be resource-intensive when working with very large datasets. Some of the more advanced features also come with a learning curve for new users, and the licensing cost may be too high for smaller teams or organizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx addresses the challenge of manual data preparation and analysis by automating repetitive tasks, blending data from multiple sources, and improving overall data accuracy. This saves time, reduces errors, and supports faster, more reliable reporting and decision-making.

One of the Best Tools for ETL and Creating Engaging Dashboards
Reviewed on Jul 09, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
It is one of the best tools for handling the ETL process and creating wonderful dashboards or reports in a more interesting way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maybe if a user is already experienced with a different platform and then tries this one, they may find it difficult at first. But if they start learning visualization using only this platform, they will understand it more clearly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we receive unstructured data and it needs more cleansing, this tool is very handy and helpful. I recommend using this tool for the ETL process.

Easy Low-Code ETL, but Performance Can Lag on Big Data
Reviewed on Jul 09, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Alteryx is how easy it is to learn thanks to its visual tools. There’s almost no learning curve, and you don’t need to understand programming languages to get started. It’s basically a low-code platform that lets you build ETL workflows and processes in a straightforward way.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Alteryx is mainly related to performance: it can be slow at times when processing large amounts of data. I also find the way you create UX/UI for other users—through Alteryx Apps—to be somewhat rigid.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It automates an incredible number of processes for the Pricing and Revenue Management teams, saving a huge amount of time on pre-processing and other manual steps. It also helps automate workflows end to end, making day-to-day work more efficient.
