Insightful process automation and analytical tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy interface without any prior hands on experience also can easily use the tool to make work flow automation for the data analysis and visualization using studio.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could have add more visualization features, data accessibility from different types of files and merge or collobarate the workflow from varies data resources. Add more tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Alteryx to extract data from server using queries and create work flow for automation to get the exact/mandatory fields to do the data analysis to create reports and visualization.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Electronic health record and supply data prep/blend, analysis, and reporting. Benefits include reduced lead times of development, accuracy and overall confidence in deliverables.

What do you like best about the product?
No code platform means you are up and running in minutes, and will be an advanced user in a MUCH shorter time than using outdated coding methods. This means more people in the organisation can carry out tasks previously isolated to a few people in IT.

What do you dislike about the product?
Obviously, it would be great if everything were free, but the cost/benefit of this platform is so obvious it's not worth mentioning the price!
Recent moves into the cloud have addressed this problem, and the Auto-Insights module has now introduced interactive dashboards automatically produced using Auto ML. Constant improvements and reacting to feedback from the community means any deficiencies are rapidly addressed.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything with data, in any sector. That means replacing manual Excel tasks that take teams hours a day, right through to advanced spatial, predictive and prescriptive analytics.
The benefits are numerous and immediate. For example, one person was performing tasks in Excel that constituted 60% of their working week. the same tasks took two hours to build in Alteryx and were from then on entirely automated. The workflow ran in a few minutes and was automated to run on the server at 3am. This freed up a huge amount of time.

A transparent solution as well...
What do you like best about the product?
I use Alteryx for various multi-step data transformation solutions that need to be documented as well. What I am learning is that Alteryx's own in-built tools - Select and Field List in particular - can accomplish the lion's share of that effort, while also providing a canvas that non-data folk find visually accessible. A simple screenshot of a thoughtfully laid out workflow goes a long way towards addressing the questions and easing concerns of auditors and stakeholders wondering how data gets from point A to B.
What do you dislike about the product?
Printing large workflows to PDF can be challenging, and version control generally is difficult, especially when dealing with workflows that run from Gallery with multiple output files.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Alteryx id a critical stand-in as an "unofficial" ETL solution within my organization. It allows end users to accomplish fantastic results on their own initiative.

The community, the training, the depth and breadth of tools to solve data related problems, the ability to create your own tools (macros).
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I am surprised when they create knew functionality and use cases, but I am quite pleased with it currently.

Great tool and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, does not require a top-of-the-line computer, read several kinds of files type, the community is large and responsive, and any questions are answered in a matter of minutes sometimes.
What do you dislike about the product?
easy to use when you work in a collaborative folder with the files and several users utilize the same flow. Not very easy to resolve. Some complex tools may require more explanation from the company, like the Regex tool, but the community tries to compensate for it. Reports and graphs need to be improved also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Review complex and large data that would be dealt with in several excel or access sheets. Creating standard reports or graphs to recurrent presentations or meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is kind of hard at first to change from other methodologies, such as Excel, but after you get used to it, you do not want to change.

The ease and speed of use. Especially in automated machine learning

It still is slightly lacking in shareable visualitics.

Time series forecasting and predictive analytics take a tenth of the time to complete

What do you like best about the product?
Best part of using Alteryx is it's simplified yet rich interface. The platform has rich set of tool set distinguished in different categories which once understood can be leveraged for workflow creation very conveniently.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing have I found to dislike in it. But it is worth focusing on the point that tool has potential development and analytics capabilities as well but with little to no exposure so far hence it can potentially serve more than just an ETL tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems like creating standardized well crafted output data for other platforms, creating designed templates of report, providing insights to data quality and other significant use cases.

We use heavily for data blending, which it is extremely great at, but that is just the tip of the iceberg of what is possible

Some screens seem a little old in UI terms, but a minor gripe
