AWS re:Invent 2020 – Lea von Bidder of Ava on Using AWS to Improve Women’s Health
Ava uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to securely manage massive amounts of data and scale to support daily traffic peaks on its platform. Lea von Bidder, co-founder and CEO of Ava, discusses how building on AWS helps the company accelerate innovation and develop new medical-grade services and applications. Ava is a digital women’s health company that brings together artificial intelligence and clinical research to improve women’s reproductive health. The company built its technology platform for collecting long-term personal health information on AWS and relies on a variety of services, including Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), MongoDB on AWS, and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3), to manage more than 300 TBs of data.
