Dear [your manager’s name],

I’d like your permission to attend one of the largest and most influential cloud computing conferences in New Zealand, which is taking place in Auckland on 31 May. AWS Summit is free to attend and will allow me access to the latest cloud services and technologies, which will be beneficial for both my personal growth and our company’s cloud knowledge in the following areas:

- Technical deep-dive content that offer best practices tips across various topics in the areas of cloud architecture, data and analytics, security, database migration and more
- Find answers to our development questions and learn technical tips and tricks from AWS architects, engineers and expert users
- Discover proven cost optimization methodologies and new ways to reduce our company’s AWS bill

Following my attendance to the conference, I’ll circulate a report that will include a summary of what I learned plus a set of recommendations to increase our team’s productivity and maximise our cloud investment.

Thank you for considering my request to attend this event.

Looking forward to your reply,
[your name]
