Lessons from 10 Years - the AWS Journey

There are hundreds of lessons that we at AWS have learned over the past 10 years, such as building and operating services that need to be secure, reliable and scalable, with predictable performance at the lowest possible cost. Given that AWS is a pioneer in building and operating these services worldwide, these lessons have been of crucial importance to our business.

As we’ve said many times before, “There is no compression algorithm for experience.” In this session we will share the top lessons that we have learned over the past decade in the hope that they may be of use to you as you build solutions for your customers.

    IoT State of the Union

Organizations need to gain insights and knowledge from a growing number of IoT, APIs, clickstreams, unstructured and log data sources. Given that IoT devices have limited computation and restricted storage, the Cloud becomes disproportionately important to run IoT use cases.

This session will cover the AWS breadth of offerings around IoT and go on to showcase how customers and Partners are using IoT on the Cloud to solve real-world business challenges. This will include an exciting Live Demo.

Architecting a Serverless Data Lake on AWS

As the volume and types of data continue to grow, customers often have valuable data that is not easily discoverable and available for analytics. A common challenge for data engineering teams is architecting a data lake that can cater to the needs of diverse users, from developers to business analysts to data scientists.

In this session, we will dive deep into building a data lake using Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Athena, Amazon EMR and AWS Glue. Data Lake conversations have become a routine between us and the customers, as they need Partners to help them execute a Data Lake architecture and reduce operations in preparing the data for downstream consumers. The session will showcase a Live Demo as well.
