End users can put the device to sleep or lock, restart, and reset the device locally using a device settings toolbar that is consistent across virtual desktop services.

WorkSpaces Thin Client supports commonly used PC keyboard shortcuts, such as copy and paste, to help maximize user productivity.

WorkSpaces Thin Client seamlessly connects to Amazon WorkSpaces, Amazon WorkSpaces Web, and Amazon AppStream 2.0.

WorkSpaces Thin Client works with a variety of peripheral devices, including monitors, keyboards, mice, headsets, webcams, and accessory hubs. See the WorkSpaces Thin Client User Guide for a full list of tested and supported devices.

Management and security

A device management service provides administrators with a complete view of their fleet, including the following:

  • Inventory details: See details on thin clients in your fleet including compliance status, how long devices have been active, and registration status.
  • Patch management: Validate and push patches based on administrator-defined schedule.
  • Remote administration: Remotely reset or deregister devices.
  • Read more in the administrator guide.

WorkSpaces Thin Client prevents users from saving data or installing applications on the local device. It also blocks the use of removable media.

WorkSpaces Thin Client utilizes a secure, on-chip secret to establish trust with the device.
