Amazon Inspector and Amazon EC2 Systems Manager are now HIPAA eligible services. You can now run Amazon Inspector on your EC2 instances that contain protected health information (PHI) and use Systems Manager to manage the infrastructure that contains PHI data.

If you already have an executed BAA with AWS, you can start using these services immediately with the accounts that your BAA covers. If you don’t have an executed BAA with AWS or have any other questions about HIPAA eligible services on AWS, contact us and we will put you in touch with a representative from our AWS sales team. You can find more information on HIPAA compliance on AWS on our HIPAA Compliance page.

Amazon Inspector is available in US East (N. Virginia), US West (N. California), US West (Oregon), Asia Pacific (Mumbai), Asia Pacific (Seoul), Asia Pacific (Sydney), Asia Pacific (Tokyo), and EU (Ireland). Systems Manager is available in all commercial regions and GovCloud.
