Amazon Keyspaces (for Apache Cassandra), a scalable, highly available, and fully managed Apache Cassandra–compatible database service, is now Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) eligible to help you run healthcare workloads more easily.
AWS enables covered entities and their business associates subject to HIPAA to use the secure AWS environment to process, maintain, and store protected health information. Now, you can run Cassandra workloads that are subject to HIPAA compliance more easily by using a fully managed and serverless database service. Amazon Keyspaces helps you secure PHI through features such as encryption, audit logging via AWS CloudTrail, and access management through AWS Identity and Access Management.
