AWS IoT SiteWise is a managed service that makes it easy to collect, store, organize and monitor data from industrial equipment at scale to help you make better, data-driven decisions.

We are excited to announce that AWS IoT SiteWise is expanding its metric aggregations capabilities to support custom time intervals for metric aggregations that enable users greater flexibility in monitoring IoT assets in real-time. With custom time intervals for metric aggregations, you can input any time interval that suits your metric aggregation interval requirements, in addition to the existing preset windows of 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, and 1 week. You can also configure the metric aggregation intervals applicable for your time zone.

For example, if you are monitoring industrial equipment that is located in a Pacific Standard Time (PST) time zone, you can select the PST time zone and define a 1 day aggregation interval for your metric to be calculated at 12 AM every day so that AWS IoT SiteWise computes the metric aggregation every day at 12 AM PST instead of the default UTC time zone.
