In this session, we will delve into the architecture and modernization of KYC applications, transitioning from on-premises infrastructure. The KYC architecture was modernized from a monolithic Java application to utilizing Spring Boot microservices on AWS. To ensure fault tolerance, multiple third-party service providers are employed, along with a circuit breaker mechanism. All KYC services are containerized and hosted on Amazon ECS (Elastic Container Service) on AWS Fargate, enabling effortless scaling.Security measures are reinforced by utilizing AWS Secrets Manager for secure storage of sensitive data. GraalVM is used to optimize system boot-up time, while Amazon OpenSearch is employed for text-based validation to meet anti-money laundering compliance guidelines.
