FoundationDB

FoundationDB builds the world's most advanced Key-Value Store. It uniquely combines a distributed / horizontally scalable design, exceptional fault tolerance, ease of operation and administration, and true, high performance ACID transactions. This powerful combination means that developers can build applications faster, and scaling the database layer is simply a matter of adding machines to the cluster. Data replication, data distribution, hardware fault tolerance, and backup are all automatic, easy to set up, and transparent to the application.

    Usage Instructions

Once the instance is running, connect to it via SSH (ubuntu@ip-address) using your EC2 SSH Key (PEM file).By default, FoundationDB installs on a single server in a locally accessible mode suitable for development only clients on the same machine will be able to access the database. To allow external access (Strongly Recommended for Production Use), you will have to make your cluster file public by following the instructions at https://foundationdb.com/key-value-store/documentation/building-cluster.html#make-foundationdb-externally-accessible.* When making the file public, run make_public.py with "sudo python make_public.py".* Ensure that your EC2 security group allows access over port 4500 to another appropriate EC2 security group or IP address where you'll be accessing the Key-Value Store from.* If you want to add more machines to this cluster, launch more of these instances and then follow the instructions in https://foundationdb.com/key-value-store/documentation/building-cluster.html ...
