Secure file sharing has improved collaboration and enabled flexible access for our teams

    Reviewed on Mar 31, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

FileCloud  is my main use case as a highly customizable file sharing and collaboration tool suitable for businesses of all sizes. It offers robust features including secure data storage and real-time synchronization capabilities. With this tool, my team can easily synchronize files across devices, manage document versions, and access files on the go through the intuitive mobile app.

A specific example of how my team typically uses FileCloud  in our workflow is as a central location to store all our company shared documents and personal work documents.

    What is most valuable?

The best features FileCloud offers include an easy-to-use and customizable web GUI with simple administration. It has an intuitive mobile app that enables access to files on the go. FileCloud provides great security features including two-factor authentication, data encryption, and remote erase to ensure the security of files and data.

FileCloud has positively impacted my organization by allowing us to share files easily within the department and with remote team members, promoting collaboration. It has allowed us to manage our cloud shares as we saw fit and improved security for our data and files, providing peace of mind.

    What needs improvement?

FileCloud could improve by making updates more apparent to FileCloud Drive.

An uninstall and reinstall was needed to fix most issues, which could improve the overall experience.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using FileCloud for the past eight years, as my previous organization was using it.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

    FileCloud is very stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

FileCloud's scalability is very efficient, as it handles my organization's growth effectively.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for FileCloud is very responsive and proactive.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used a different solution and switched from OneDrive and Dropbox.

    How was the initial setup?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that FileCloud is one of the most cost-effective file and content management platforms that I have used in a while.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with FileCloud as it has helped our staff members to be more productive in accessing the data they need at any time from anywhere in the world. It has also promoted collaboration in my organization.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing FileCloud, I evaluated other options including OneDrive, Dropbox, and Box.

What other advice do I have?

FileCloud is well-suited for companies who want to utilize a cloud storage system but not use products such as Box or OneDrive. FileCloud allows the company to host everything on their own servers and have full administrative access to everything they need. It is also very cost-effective and easy to use and has top-notch security features to protect your data and files from any cyber threats. I would rate this product a nine out of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows you to host everything on your own server, so you don't have to rely on Microsoft or any other company to maintain the servers and hope that they don't have large issues that prevent access to your files. As long as you can access your server, you can get into your files easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up complex sharing or granular permissions can be difficult and confusing. Some users report challenges with setting up on-premise environments, specifically with mounting drives on Mac or managing Docker images.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
solves critical data management, security, and collaboration problems for modern organizations by providing a secure, flexible Enterprise File Sync and Share (EFSS) platform.
Features AES 256-bit encryption at rest and SSL/TLS in transit, automatic anti-virus scanning, and ransomware protection.
Provides options for self-hosting (on-premises) or using regional data centers to ensure data stays under company control, critical for GDPR.

Secure, Flexible, Yet Needs Smoother Collaboration

    Reviewed on Mar 09, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the full control over data and enterprise-grade security that FileCloud provides, which is essential for our B2B operations in Germany. Being able to host content on our own servers or EU-based data centers eliminates worries about data residency, third-party access, or GDPR compliance risks. This level of ownership gives me and our clients peace of mind. I also appreciate the flexibility and customization FileCloud offers. We can tailor permissions, security policies, and even branding to match our workflows and client requirements. Team members find it intuitive to use, and admins benefit from solid management tools for users, audit access, and enforcing security rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed that some advanced collaboration features are not as fluid as we'd like. Real-time co-editing works but can be slower or less reliable with large files or multiple users. It's not quite as seamless as cloud-native platforms for teams working heavily on documents. There can be lag and slow loading when several users edit the same document simultaneously, causing delays, cursor freezes, or slow updates between users. Also, the initial setup was more involved than a standard cloud tool due to its self-hosted nature, which required more technical time and configuration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FileCloud solves issues with data control and security under GDPR. It lets us host data on EU-based servers for compliance, reducing legal risks. We securely share files with clients, reducing incidents, and maintain data ownership. It eliminates risks of public cloud use and enhances safe external collaboration.

Secure file sharing has boosted remote teamwork and improved data access for our clients

    Reviewed on Mar 05, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for FileCloud  is securely sharing data, as one of the primary uses of FileCloud  in my organization is securely sharing data with both internal and external clients. This has made it very useful, particularly for remote team members and to facilitate effective collaboration. It is an efficient solution for storing and accessing files in a central location, thereby improving productivity and efficiency.

A specific example of how I have used FileCloud to securely share data with a client or my remote team is that it provides a branded file storage solution that allows us to safely upload and save personal and office data securely. Additionally, FileCloud has been a beneficial tool for document management in our business because it enables our stakeholders to send large documents via email links very easily.

    What is most valuable?

FileCloud is a strong and adaptable file sharing and collaboration tool.

The best features FileCloud offers include top-notch security features such as two-factor authentication and data encryption, which ensure the security of our files and data. It also ensures the web interface is very easy to use and user-friendly, and it provides a very intuitive and user-friendly mobile application.

The security features and user-friendly interface have positively impacted my day-to-day work because the mobile app has been very helpful as we can work on the go. We can share files and collaborate on the go seamlessly and intuitively. When it comes to security factors such as two-factor authentication, it has been a great addition to security because we are able to safeguard our files and data, resulting in no notable data breaches. The intuitive web interface makes it easy to use, even for non-technical users.

FileCloud has positively impacted my organization by increasing the security of files and data from 40% to 55%. We have been able to collaborate seamlessly, even when working remotely with our stakeholders, clients, and customers. We have also been able to be more productive because we can share files, data, and other documents and collaborate on projects easily.

    What needs improvement?

I would suggest that the cost could be reduced to give smaller organizations a chance to afford this tool.

When dealing with large data sets, I have noticed that FileCloud is sometimes a bit slow, which is an area where improvement is needed.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using FileCloud for the past five years and several months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

FileCloud is stable, as I have not experienced any lagging or downtime.

The customer support is very proactive, responsive, and solution-oriented.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Negative

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously used Dropbox before switching to FileCloud.

The specific reason we switched from Dropbox to FileCloud is that FileCloud is much more cost-effective compared to Dropbox. Additionally, some of the features of Dropbox are more complex compared to FileCloud. With FileCloud, anyone can use it with minimal supervision. FileCloud also offers the flexibility to host everything on our own server, which is the flexibility we needed.

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment, as our team members have been more productive in accessing the data they need at any time and anywhere, as long as they are connected to the internet. Collaboration has also improved, and the security posture in my organization has increased.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing is that the price is relatively competitive and affordable. However, as I mentioned, the price could be reduced for smaller organizations to afford this tool.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing FileCloud, I evaluated OneDrive as an option.

What other advice do I have?

FileCloud has been a very positive experience overall.

I love the integration plugin for Outlook and Office applications, as it makes it easy to share files.

My advice to others looking into using FileCloud is that it is a flexible tool that allows a company to host everything on their own servers and have full administrative access to everything they need. It is also very cost-effective, easy to use, and facilitates easy sharing of data and files with strong security features to prevent any data breaches. Therefore, it is a highly recommendable tool.

Secure collaboration has transformed remote work and now protects sensitive data across devices

    Reviewed on Mar 04, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for FileCloud  is that I love it because it's a very secure content collaboration platform that provides compliance, data governance, data leak protection, data retention, and digital rights management capability. I also love the workflow automation and granular control of content sharing across enterprise platforms, which is fully integrated into the complete CCP  stack. It also offers file sharing, synchronization, and mobile access capability on public, private, and hybrid clouds, which makes the deployment very flexible.

    What is most valuable?

Recently, I implemented FileCloud  to host our data externally using HTTPS instead of placing our data on a third-party cloud solution or using VPN technologies. It's being used by our entire department to access the data on our file server of our organization. With a lot of our staff members working remotely and on the move, this solution helps our staff members access their data on our secured central servers without having to use VPN technologies.

I love it because we can access our internal file server data from anywhere on the planet as long as we're connected to an internet connection. I also love it because we are able to use the mobile application, which is a very robust and intuitive application.

Some of the best features that FileCloud offers include an intuitive mobile application. The user interface is very easy to customize and user-friendly. File synchronization, storage, and archiving are very easy. Document management is great. Content search and retrieval are great. Enterprise content collaboration is on point, together with the security and risk management and information governance.

FileCloud stands out especially because it provides secure data storage and real-time synchronization capabilities. We can easily synchronize files across devices, manage document versions, and access files on the go through the mobile app.

I also love it because it provides enterprise-grade security features such as two-factor authentication and other features which ensure the security of our data and files is top-notch.

FileCloud has positively impacted our organization as this tool has been very easy to use. Therefore, regarding any technical survey, personnel can use it. It has a very intuitive and user-friendly interface, which makes the learning curve very smooth. It also provides enterprise-grade security features like two-factor authentication, which ensures our data security and file data has really improved from fifty to seventy-five percent. We've been able to collaborate on files, especially because of the secure sharing of data with both external and internal customers and clients. It has made it very useful for remote workers and facilitates effective collaboration.

    What needs improvement?

FileCloud has been a beneficial tool for document management in our business, enabling us to send large documents via email with ease. However, one area that it should improve is that the updates need to be more constant, especially to the file drive. Additionally, customer support should always be responsive and proactive twenty-four seven. Sometimes they are not that responsive.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using FileCloud for the past four years and a few months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

FileCloud is very stable as I have not experienced any downtime or lagging.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

FileCloud's scalability is highly scalable as it can handle large and small files seamlessly.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support is sometimes very responsive, but at times they are not so responsive.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

Previously, I had been using OneDrive before switching to FileCloud.

I decided to switch from OneDrive to FileCloud because OneDrive did not perform well when it came to sharing large files. Additionally, the cost was a bit higher.

    How was the initial setup?

I purchased FileCloud through the AWS Marketplace .

    What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment as the security posture for both our data and files has really increased or improved. Collaboration, especially remote collaboration through file sharing and data sharing, has greatly increased and been enhanced.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

My experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing was that the price was cost-effective and it's an affordable tool.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Before choosing FileCloud, I evaluated other options, specifically Box.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using FileCloud is that it is a very secure tool that will take care of your data and file security. It's a great tool to collaborate, especially on data sharing and file sharing. It has an intuitive mobile app that you can use on the go, hence promoting remote collaboration. It's a recommendable tool.

You can access your data anytime, anywhere, as long as you are connected to the internet. I would rate this product an eight out of ten.
