StorReduce 500 AMI for Amazon S3

Product Overview

StorReduce reduces your S3 cost typically by 50-95%, with its on-cloud, block level deduplication for unstructured data. StorReduce 500 works with up to 500TB of stored data, with throughput of up to 600MB/s on a c3.8xlarge instance or 300MB/s on a c3.4xlarge (or i2.4xlarge) instance. More storage (up to 10PB through a single AWS instance) is available through larger StorReduce products.

StorReduce is particularly effective at reducing backup, archive, big data with copying and general unstructured data. It is extremely fast, handles enterprise volumes of data and has an S3 interface which enables your data to be natively accessed by AWS Enterprise Cloud Services like CloudSearch and Elastic MapReduce.

StorReduce also enables you to seamlessly migrate large on-premise tape archives and backups into S3 as it does not require on-premise hardware. StorReduce can be installed on any on-premise server to deduplicate the on-premise data to minimize bandwidth during migration, and after migration can be removed from on-premise servers and implemented on cloud. StorReduce provides extremely fast deduplication, which greatly reduces the time and cost required for migration. StorReduce's S3 API makes the migrated data natively accessible to AWS Cloud Services such as Elastic MapReduce and CloudSearch.
