You can use Teradata Data Mover for regular periodic tasks including populating a dependent data mart from an analytics platform as well as special one-time tasks such as moving data to a test system. Simply specify what you want to copy and it selects the fastest protocol under the covers, even if it changes over time.

Teradata Data Mover also reduces operational cost and complexity and improves your overall data management capabilities by copying an array of objects, including tables, global temp tables, tables with LOB columns, statistics, triggers, join indexes, hash indexes, tables with UDT columns, stored procedures, view definitions, and macros.

NOTE: This AMI is intended for use with a Teradata Vantage with IntelliSphere subscription, purchased separately. For a single node deployment, this AMI uses a 350GB EBS volume for root disk and application software plus two 175GB EBS volumes for a data repository.

For a multi-node deployment, this AMI uses a 350 GB EBS volume for root disk and application software plus two 175 GB EBS volumes for a data repository for the first AMI -- and each additional AMI requires a 350 GB EBS volume for root disk and application software. This AMI currently supports a maximum of four nodes.
