This AMI-only deployment option offers maximum flexibility. It is set up for users who already have a graph database running, such as Amazon Neptune or any other SPARQL 1.1 compliant database. The license is suitable for production use where users or applications consume metaphactory services (API, SPARQL editor, search, authoring or visualizations).

metaphactory for any graph database (AMI, production license)
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.

You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you run metaphactory on, so pricing scales with the compute size you pick. The options fall into three families: t2 and t3 burstable instances, m5 general-purpose instances, and c5 compute-optimized instances. Within each family, hourly cost rises as you move to larger sizes with more vCPU and memory. You can start on a smaller instance like t3.medium and later switch to a size with more capacity. AWS infrastructure charges apply on top of the software hourly rate.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do I get for the hourly rate, and does it include a graph database?
The hourly rate covers the metaphactory software running on the EC2 instance type you select. It does not include a graph database. You connect metaphactory to a triple store you deploy separately, such as one you launch in AWS Cloud, including Amazon Neptune.
Am I charged when my metaphactory EC2 instance is stopped?
The software fee meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue software charges. AWS infrastructure charges, such as attached storage, may still apply while stopped. Charges resume once you start the instance again.
How do the metaphactory software charge and AWS infrastructure charges combine on my bill?
Two charges apply for the same running hour. You pay the metaphactory software rate for the instance type you pick, plus separate AWS infrastructure charges for compute and storage. Both meter running time and appear together, so larger instance sizes raise both charges.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
You can access the application via a browser at http(s)://Public_DNS_(IPv4)_of_EC2_instance which should prompt you for login.
To log in, use the user "admin" and ID of the EC2-instance as password, e.g. "i-12345...".
To connect to the operating system, use SSH, the username "ec2-user" and the key you provided during setup.
