CentOS 8 Stream with support by ProComputers
Product Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for technical support and maintenance provided by ProComputers.
CentOS Stream is an upstream development platform designed for CentOS community members, RedHat partners, ecosystem developers, and many other groups to more quickly and easily see what is coming next in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and to help shape the product.
This AMI is a minimal CentOS 8 Stream installation, mainly used as a common base system on top of which other appliances could be built and tested. It contains just enough packages to run within AWS, bring up a SSH Server and allow users to login. Cloud-init, as well as the CentOS security updates available at the release date are included.
Root login is disabled and only the 'centos' user is allowed to connect using ssh public key authentication.
Built using CentOS8 Stream 'Minimal Install' group of packages and a single 8 GiB instance volume. Both root partition and filesystem are automatically extended if selected volume is bigger than the default one.
This CentOS8 AMI is ENA enabled.
