The Secure Transaction Cloud (STC) solutions offer NFV based virtualized secure payment applications for transaction transport, routing, and switching with specific Virtual Network Functions (VNF) for security (TLS, IPSec, SSH, HTTPS), transaction protocols (ISO20022, ISO8583, TPDU, VISA, XML), P2PE, Tokenization, Host Interfaces, Load Balancing etc. The virtualized capabilities allow the solution to support a wide range of payment types including Internet payments, mobile payments, POS based transactions which are IP/Mobile access based, ATM transactions, and all forms of eCommerce, mCommerce payments with PCI standards compliant security utilizing virtualized cloud native HSMs and Smart API
integration
Note that the product requires IAM and corresponding policies for CloudHSM integration. The STC Application launch results in creating and configuring CloudHSM clusters used for secure key management and cryptographic operations. The IAM role and policies created by this launch enable the EC2 instance to initialize, configure, and manage the CloudHSM environment as part of the secure transaction workflow. This ensures seamless and secure integration with AWS CloudHSM services.
Highlights
Reliable and scalable transaction transport, switching and routing systems to enable fast transaction processing of credit card authorization.
Decryption of encrypted data from payment devices, certificate verification of client POS devices and tokenization of card holder data are provided.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Try this product free for 30 days according to the free trial terms set by the vendor. Usage-based pricing is in effect for usage beyond the free trial terms. Your free trial gets automatically converted to a paid subscription when the trial ends, but may be canceled any time before that.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance size you run. The six options are all m5 instances that scale by compute capacity: m5.large, m5.xlarge, m5.2xlarge, m5.4xlarge, m5.8xlarge, and m5.12xlarge. Larger instances offer more processing power for higher transaction volumes. You choose the size that fits your workload and pay only for the hours you use. This follows a pay-as-you-grow model, so costs rise or fall as you adjust instance size. No upfront commitment applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hour of an m5 instance represent for billing?
Each dimension bills per hour that a single m5 EC2 instance runs the software. The instance size (large through 12xlarge) sets the compute capacity available. You pay for actual running hours. A stopped instance stops accruing software charges, though underlying AWS infrastructure fees may still apply separately.
Am I charged when an instance is stopped, such as a standby or redundant node?
Software charges meter running hours only. A fully stopped m5 instance does not accrue hourly software fees. If you keep a redundant instance running for high availability or load balancing, it bills at its size's hourly rate while active.
How does this usage-based hourly model handle growing transaction volumes?
This follows a pay-as-you-grow model. You start on a smaller m5 size and move to a larger one as transaction volume rises. Larger instances add processing power for higher throughput. You choose the size and pay its hourly rate; changing size changes your ongoing cost.

STC Supports high availability using primary and secondary instances in two availability zones. VRRP is used to discover an instance failure.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
