Echocardiography is a heart imaging technique that uses ultrasound to create pictures of the heart. It can help diagnose and treat a variety of heart conditions. An echocardiogram is an ultrasound test that checks the structure and function of your heart. An echo can diagnose a range of conditions including cardiomyopathy and valve disease.

    Overview

There are several types of echo tests, including transthoracic and transesophageal. Reasons to have an Echocardiogram would include congenital heart disease, heart attach, heart murmur and other conditions that an echo can detect: Aneurysm, Cardiac tumor, Endocarditis, Pericarditis, and Atherosclerosis.

Datasets include: 2D echocardiogram, or 2D echo, an ultrasound that creates a cross-sectional image of the heart. It shows the heart's valves, chambers, and major blood vessels. This dataset gives images of the different parts of the heart with the help of sound vibrations looking for damage, blockages, and blood flow rate.
