Overview
Very easy to launch and efficient Anonymous HTTP/SOCKS5 Proxy Server on Linux for accessing the internet with RADIUS accounting and authentication by username and password. Includes user management Control Web Panel. It supports modern security protocols and requires almost no maintenance.
Areas of use:
- This Proxy Server enables users to browse the internet more privately by changing the IP address of the user's browser. This means the destination server doesn't know who made the original request, thereby enhancing privacy and security.
- Proxy servers allow users to circumvent content restrictions imposed by companies or governments. Many governments worldwide closely monitor and restrict internet access, and proxy servers provide citizens with access to an uncensored internet.
- This server is suitable for private users as well as for companies providing services for renting proxy services.
The key features of the HTTP / SOCKS5 Proxy Server:
- It supports HTTP and SOCKS5 proxy connection protocols with RADIUS authentication by username and password stored in a database.
- User Management Control Web Panel with traffic accounting.
- "HTTP Connect" technology that allows browsers to view HTTPS-websites using HTTP Proxy.
- FTP over HTTP is supported.
- The startup procedure is very simple; the server does not require configuration. After launching the proxy server, it is immediately ready to work without any additional settings.
- Default SOCKS5 port: 1080, default proxy HTTP port: 3128.
- The maximum number of simultaneous connections to the server (number of sessions) is 250.

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
- Launch the server. Linux username: admin
- Attach the elastic IP address to the instance (recommended).
After launching the server, it is immediately ready to work; no additional settings are required.
At the first launch of the server, a user named "testuser" with a randomly generated password is created in the user database.
User management Web Panel:
- https://[Public IP address]
- Please use "administrator" as username and your instance ID as password.
When accessing the Web Panel via HTTPS, your web browser may display a warning about potential risks due to using an IP address in the URL. In this case, you can proceed and accept the risks, as our main objective is to encrypt traffic, and using an IP address in a web browser is safe for our purposes.
Use the following settings on a client side:
- proxy server address: IP address of your instance on AWS
- proxy HTTP port: 3128
- proxy SOCKS5 port: 1080
- PAC-file (Proxy Auto-Config): "http://[Public IP address]/proxy.pac"
- login/password: user records are stored in a database and can be managed using the Web Panel.
ADDITIONAL INFO
For more convenience, phpMyAdmin (database management) is available at:
- https://[Public IP address]/phpmyadmin/
- Default username for phpMyAdmin is "administrator", initial password is your instance ID.
- By default, access to phpMyAdmin is denied in the .htaccess file: "/usr/share/phpmyadmin/.htaccess"
