Project Overview / Objectives - By leveraging MAP Assessment Phase (SMAP), AWS Partner will conduct discovery and analysis to inform Sample Customer of the potential costs of a migration from competitive platforms, colocation or on-premises to AWS Cloud.
Scope - Activities to understand Sample Customer’s business, application, & technical environments, which includes Server, Application, and Database inventory gathering and required AWS tooling. AWS Partner will leverage tools such as AWS Application Discovery Service and Migration Portfolio Assessment to speed up discovery and analysis.
Deliverables - Gather current as-is material about architecture, apps, and system design, Supplement any missing documentation, Review business justification and overall alignment to Sample, Customer’s overall goals, Perform right-sizing analysis and confirm the estimates with the Customer, Complete the migration plan and cost estimates activity, Create the Business Case report.
