Overview
WebStream ACP is a Windows application and desktop delivery control plane designed for AWS environments. It enables legacy Winforms applications and full Windows desktops to be accessed securely from any modern browser while providing deep governance over file access, clipboard usage, printing, session activity, and user behaviour.
Why WebStream ACP is Different
Traditional approaches such as virtual desktops and application streaming require:
- Per-user desktop provisioning
- Fleet sizing for peak concurrency
- Idle capacity cost
- Active Directory and RDS complexity
- Limited control over file dialogs, clipboard, and printing
- Limited audit visibility into user activity
WebStream ACP removes this operational burden.
Customers deploy a Windows Server, install their application, add WebStream ACP, and the application becomes securely accessible in a browser - without managing desktops or streaming fleets.

- Install your Windows application
- Secure browser access is immediately available
Typical Use Cases
- Legacy accounting and ERP systems
- Line-of-business Windows applications
- Engineering and design tools
- Healthcare, legal, and regulated industry systems
- Replacing RDP, VPN, or third-party remote access tools
- Windows workload modernization projects funded through AWS MAP
Highlights
- Deliver legacy Windows applications in the browser - no rewrite, no endpoint install, no VDI. WebStream streams your existing Windows application from your own AWS infrastructure, so the app runs as-is and only the access path changes.
- Unblock stalled AWS migrations in days, not months. Publish a first app to browser access in around 15 minutes and stand up an AWS-hosted proof of concept in 1-2 days, compressing the access work that normally delays datacentre exits and cloud adoption.
- Governed, Controlled Application Delivery that clears security review. Centralise execution with SSO, audit, and policy over file, print, and clipboard workflows - usage-based SessionHours pricing on your own EC2, complementing AWS rather than replacing Workspaces or AppStream.
