Overview
This service replaces manual, unverified backup routines with an automated, policy-driven protection strategy across hybrid and AWS environments. Engagements are delivered by AWS-certified architects and are built around a principle that manual backup processes rarely satisfy: a backup only counts once a restore has been tested and documented.
Backup and Continuity Design Every engagement starts by defining recovery objectives with the customer, establishing an acceptable recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO) for each workload based on business impact rather than on what the current tooling happens to allow. From there the team designs backup policies, retention schedules, and storage tiering, covering on-premises systems, self-managed workloads on Amazon EC2, and managed AWS services within a single protection strategy.
Implementation and Validation The team implements automated incremental backups, encrypted storage on Amazon S3 with lifecycle policies that move older data to lower-cost tiers, cross-region copies where resilience requirements call for them, and centralized monitoring and alerting on backup job status. Restore testing is performed and documented so the customer has evidence the recovery path works, along with a runbook the internal team can follow during an actual incident.
AWS Services Used Engagements are delivered across AWS Backup, Amazon S3, Amazon S3 Glacier, AWS Storage Gateway, Amazon EC2 and Amazon EBS snapshots, Amazon RDS automated backups and snapshots, Amazon Elastic File System, AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, AWS Key Management Service (KMS), AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), Amazon CloudWatch, and AWS Organizations.
Deliverables Customers receive a backup and recovery strategy document with defined recovery objectives per workload, implemented and automated backup policies with retention and lifecycle rules, a documented and tested restore procedure, a monitoring and alerting configuration for backup job failures, and a storage cost projection covering the retention model.

Highlights
- Tested recovery, not just backups: restore procedures are executed and documented during the engagement, so the customer has evidence the recovery path works before an incident forces the first attempt.
- Hybrid coverage under one policy: on-premises systems, self-managed workloads on Amazon EC2, and managed AWS services protected through a single backup strategy with consistent retention and encryption.
- Retention that controls cost: lifecycle policies move aging data to lower-cost storage tiers automatically, with a projected storage cost model so long-term retention does not become an unplanned expense.

Support
Vendor support
Support covers the backup and recovery configuration implemented during the engagement, including backup policies, retention and lifecycle rules, monitoring and alerting, and the documented restore procedure. Knowledge transfer to the customer's technical team is included so the organization can operate the solution and execute recoveries independently.
Support is delivered remotely during business hours, in the customer's preferred time zone where feasible. Support duration, coverage hours, and escalation paths are defined per engagement in the statement of work, based on workload criticality and recovery objectives. Extended or managed support arrangements are available on request.
