    Dimensions summary

This listing uses a single usage-based dimension. Each unit equals one cent of usage, so your bill tracks what you actually consume. There are no fixed tiers or instance sizes to pick. Snowflake measures usage across two main drivers: compute, billed on a consumption basis, and storage, billed by the amount of data stored per month. Your total cost rises and falls with activity. You pay only for what you use, with no upfront commitment built into this dimension.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Each unit equals one cent of usage. The platform meters your actual activity, then converts it into these cent-sized units. You are not buying seats, instances, or fixed sizes. Your unit count simply reflects the compute you run and the data you store, totaled from your real consumption.
Two drivers combine on one bill. Compute is billed on a consumption basis, rising when you run queries and workloads. Storage is billed by the amount of data held per month, after compression. Compute usually dominates for active query workloads. Storage dominates for large datasets with low activity. Both accrue together.
Compute charges track activity, so they fall when queries and workloads stop running. Storage charges continue as long as your data stays stored, since they are based on data held per month. You keep paying for stored data even during idle periods, but active compute billing eases off.

Gold-Standard ETL in Pure SQL—Fast, Easy Setup, and Great UX

    Reviewed on Oct 29, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to setup for any kind of company. Gold standard for ETL using ecosystem tools like Fivetran or dbt. Easy adoption as it's purely SQL based. Pay as you go pricing with no infra setup and multi-year commitment. AI ecosystem is also evolving as pure SQL functions so that we don't need to do plumbing of low-level code to make it work. Top-notch performance of query and great user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Specifically the snowspark area. It has its own ecosystem but most of the work is done in SQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ETL and Datawarehousing Realtime data Support enterprise BI layer Adhoc query Usecases dependent on analytical data already stored in snowflake

Easy, Reliable Snowflake–Mendix Integration with Fast Queries at Scale

    Reviewed on Oct 29, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Snowflake for about a year, mainly to pull data into and push data back from Mendix applications, and what I like best is how easy it is to work with. Integration with Mendix is simple, and the Snowflake connector module available in the Mendix Marketplace makes it even easier. I can connect, run queries, and write data back without building a lot of custom plumbing, and the connection has been reliable. Queries return quickly even on large tables, and I rarely have to think about tuning or infrastructure. Compute and storage are separated, so heavy workloads don’t slow down other users or processes, which matters when an app depends on near-real-time data.

The web interface is also clean and easy to navigate. I can write and test SQL, check query history, and manage roles and warehouses without much of a learning curve. Overall it’s a stable, scalable platform that takes a lot of the database administration work off my plate, so I can focus on the integration logic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup around roles, privileges, and authentication takes some effort when connecting an external app like Mendix, and the documentation has few examples for specific integration scenarios. Snowsight’s editor is also a bit limited compared to dedicated SQL tools, and support response times on non-urgent tickets can be slow, but these are minor issues overall.

Also, no native desktop client, so I rely on third-party tools when needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake gives us a single, central place for data that used to be scattered across multiple systems, so our Mendix apps can pull data from it and push data back without custom database work. It removes most of the infrastructure and tuning effort, so I spend my time on the integration logic rather than managing servers. Because compute and storage scale separately, heavy reporting or data loads don’t slow down our apps, and the Mendix Snowflake connector module makes the integration quick to set up. The result is faster delivery, more reliable data in our applications, and less maintenance.

Coco Is Easy for Anyone to Use

    Reviewed on Oct 28, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like Coco a lot, and I find it easy to use for people at any level of technical expertise.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the recent changes. There seem to be a lot of updates every week, and it’s not easy to keep up with them. Maybe if we knew what was happening ahead of time, it would be easier to adapt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Snowflake is helping us ingesting data from different data sources and it acts like a centralized data platform.
