AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract combines channel licensing with usage-based charges. You pay per playout channel for a 24/7 linear stream with UI and API programming. A redundant channel adds backup for an existing channel. The rest are usage meters that scale with activity: ad insertions per 1000, content delivery per GB, encoding hours, asset preparation per GB, video requests per month, transcription or translation per minute, and uploads storage per GB monthly. Channel dimensions set your base capacity, while each usage meter bills separately as consumption grows. You combine only the dimensions your workflow needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the Redundant Channel dimension add compared to a standard Playout Channel?
A Playout Channel gives you one 24/7 linear stream with UI and API programming. A Redundant Channel adds a backup for an existing channel. It provides failover support so your stream stays live if the primary channel has an issue. You pay for it separately, on top of your primary channel.
Which meters drive most of the usage charges as viewership grows?
Content Delivery GB and Per Video Request scale directly with audience size. More viewers mean more delivered data and more video requests. Ad Insertions per 1000 grow with monetized traffic. Encoding hours, asset preparation, transcription minutes, and uploads storage track content volume, not viewers. All meters bill independently and add together on one invoice.
How is the Per Minute Transcription or Translation unit counted?
You are billed per minute of audio processed for transcription or translation each month. The charge tracks the length of content you run through these features, not the number of files. Only content you choose to transcribe or translate accrues this charge, so it scales with that specific activity.
