Marketplace software charges cover Hanwei's integration of the web, PHP, database, and WordPress layers; application of the security-hardening and optimized performance configuration; preparation of administration tools; image construction; and deployment documentation. Support and documentation are supplementary to the implemented software configuration and are not the sole basis for the software charges.
What Hanwei Adds to Upstream WordPress
- Pre-integrated LEMP stack: WordPress 7.0 is integrated with Nginx, PHP 8.5, and MariaDB 11.8 on Ubuntu 26.04 LTS, reducing the component installation and initial integration work required after launch.
- PHP runtime configuration: PHP 8.5 is included with OPcache enabled. The PHP configuration is prepared for the included WordPress stack and must be reviewed by customers against their application, traffic, and security requirements.
- Database integration: MariaDB 11.8 is included as the database backend for the WordPress deployment. Customers remain responsible for database credentials, access controls, backups, recovery, capacity, and application-specific database settings.
- Administration tooling: WP-CLI is included for command-line WordPress administration, and AWS CLI v2 is included for customer-configured interaction with AWS services.
- Security-hardening baseline: SSH accepts key-based authentication and does not accept password login. Automatic operating-system security updates are enabled, hardened PHP and database settings are applied, and the image is built without hardcoded application credentials or embedded secrets.
- Optimized performance configuration: Nginx, PHP OPcache, PHP runtime settings, and the database layer are preconfigured as an integrated WordPress stack. Customers must validate throughput, latency, capacity, caching, and scaling behavior for their selected EC2 instance type and workload.
- Deployment documentation: /home/ubuntu/README.md documents the environment and component versions. /home/ubuntu/deployment.md provides deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting guidance.

You pay by the hour based on the AWS EC2 instance type you choose to run this hardened WordPress LEMP stack. There is no license fee separate from the hourly software charge, and you can start or stop instances as needed. The many options are not tiers or plans. Each one maps to a specific EC2 instance size and family. Smaller instances like t2.nano and t3.micro suit light workloads. Larger instances like x1e.32xlarge, p3dn.24xlarge, and metal options handle heavier compute, memory, storage, or GPU needs. Your total cost scales with the instance you select and the hours you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each option maps to one AWS EC2 instance running the hardened WordPress LEMP stack. The instance name sets the CPU, memory, storage, and any GPU. You pay the hourly software charge for that instance size while it runs, on top of underlying AWS infrastructure fees.
The hourly software charge applies only while the instance runs. Fully stopped instances stop accruing the software fee. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage costs for attached volumes, but those are separate from the per-hour software charge you see here.
The stack ships self-contained. It bundles the libraries, database, and runtimes needed to run WordPress on the LEMP stack, so you launch a ready image rather than installing each component. The vendor updates packaged apps when vulnerabilities or security issues are found.
