Overview
OpenAI Daybreak Red gives access to GPT-5.6 Cyber, a specialized model for advanced cybersecurity work by eligible security teams operating in authorized environments. GPT-5.6 Cyber is designed for controlled security testing and validation workflows, including developing and adapting proofs of concept, validating exploit chains, and conducting scoped penetration tests or red-team engagements. It is intended for advanced security teams that need deeper support for authorized testing, exposure validation, and remediation review. Security teams can use GPT-5.6 Cyber to investigate complex vulnerabilities, validate exposure, test remediation, and document findings for review. It is intended for use on systems, applications, accounts, networks, or data the customer owns, operates, or is explicitly authorized to test or analyze. Through Amazon Bedrock, organizations can use GPT-5.6 Cyber in the AWS environment where many enterprise security, governance, procurement, and operational workflows run. Bedrock gives customers a familiar way to access OpenAI model capabilities with AWS security, identity, networking, monitoring, and billing controls. We recommend Daybreak Blue as the starting point for most defenders. Teams whose authorized work includes advanced vulnerability research, exploit development, or red teaming can request Daybreak Red access for our most advanced cyber models.
