Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for this software, and each price line matches a specific EC2 instance type. Pricing is not tiered into plans. Instead, you pick the instance that fits your workload, from small burstable types like t3.nano up to large compute, memory, GPU, and high-memory instances such as the c8i, m8i, r8i, g7e, p6, and u7i families. The hourly software rate scales with the size and capability of the instance you run. You are billed only for the hours each instance runs, so costs track your actual usage.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly rate is the software licence fee for running this pre-built image on that instance. It maps to each running instance, charged per hour. The underlying AWS compute, storage, and network fees are billed separately by AWS and are not included in this software rate.
The software fee meters running hours only. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still owe AWS storage fees for the attached volume while the instance is stopped, but that is an AWS charge, not this software licence.
This is usage-based billing with no upfront commitment. You pay only for the hours each instance runs. Costs rise when you run larger or more instances and drop when you run fewer. This suits variable workloads where you start and stop instances as needed.

Usage instructions
1. Connect to the instance via SSH:

Once your instance is running, connect to it using an SSH client with the private key you configured during launch.

The default username for Ubuntu-based instances is ubuntu.
Example SSH command:
ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem ubuntu@<instance-public-ip>
2. Run OS commands via SSH:
- After logging in, use sudo to run commands that require root access.
3. Test Docker installation:
- To verify that Docker is installed and running properly, run the following command: sudo docker run hello-world This will pull the hello-world image and run it, displaying a message indicating that Docker is working correctly.
