Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for support. CircleCI is a modern DevOps automation platform designed to streamline software development workflows through continuous integration and continuous delivery practices. It integrates with version control systems such as GitHub and Bitbucket and automatically triggers pipelines whenever code changes are pushed. Developers define their build test and deployment processes using YAML configuration files which are executed in isolated containers or virtual machines on CircleCI servers. On Ubuntu 24.04 systems CircleCI is not installed as a full service but rather accessed through its command line interface which helps developers validate configurations debug pipelines and manage projects efficiently.
Highlights
- Fast CI CD automation for modern development workflows
- Cloud based execution reduces local system dependency
- Simple YAML configuration for pipelines and jobs
