Echobox can track how many articles are written about different topics, celebrities, political candidates/leaders, brands and locations, and how these are prioritized by publishers e.g. on social media.
Going beyond social media engagement, this data allows marketers, researchers and political campaigns to track and truly understand how much emphasis global online media are putting on topics such as
- Economic topics (e.g. inflation, unemployment, international trade, financial markets)
- Geopolitical topics (e.g. specific wars/crises, specific leaders)
- Contentious political issues (e.g. environment, immigration, food prices)
- Different industries and/or companies
- Different locations/countries/cities
- Different types of products (e.g. travel, fashion, cars, real estate, crypto, musicians/influencers/celebrities, movies, iconic products such as the iPhone or luxury brands, EVs vs petrol cars)
The dataset can be supplemented with historical data to show where coverage of a particular topic is intensifying or weakening (e.g. "media in country X are paying less attention to inflation").
