AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. The six options are all memory-optimized instances from two families. The r6i options come in xlarge, 2xlarge, and 4xlarge sizes. The r7i options match those same three sizes. Within each family, price scales with instance size, since larger instances add more compute and memory. Choose a size based on the workload you expect. Software runs on the instance you select, so your hourly cost tracks the running hours of that instance.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What do the r6i and r7i instance sizes give me for the hourly rate?
Each option maps to one running EC2 instance of that size. The xlarge, 2xlarge, and 4xlarge labels reflect increasing vCPU and memory. Both families are memory-optimized, which suits data-heavy analytics work. You pick one size to run the software on, and billing tracks that instance's hourly usage.
Am I charged the hourly software rate when the instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Underlying AWS fees, such as storage for the volume, may still apply while the instance is stopped. To halt software charges, stop the running instance.
How does hourly billing here work compared to a fixed annual plan?
This listing meters actual instance-hours with no upfront commitment. You pay only for the hours the chosen instance runs. Hourly billing suits variable or intermittent analytics workloads. Continuous, always-on workloads may fit a committed term better, which you would arrange separately through the vendor.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
Launch instance of required AMI Select Instance and go to Actions -> Security -> Get Windows Password and copy it (Ctrl+C) Actions -> Connect Download Remote Desktop file RDP to the newly launched instance - will start a deployment script. - When promted for password - paste the windows password. - Input Service user and password - Input Database Password - Input Repository Password Wait for script to finish and reference the User Guide located on the desktop.
