You pay by the hour for this open source web analytics tool, billed per running instance. Pricing follows the EC2 instance type you choose, not the software itself. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, from small general-purpose types like t3.small up to memory-heavy, compute-heavy, storage, and GPU families. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, or specialized hardware carry proportionally higher hourly rates. Your cost scales with how long each instance runs and which size you select. Choose the instance that fits your traffic volume and performance needs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
One unit is one hour of a single running EC2 instance of the size you select. Each instance you launch meters separately. Cost equals your chosen instance type's hourly rate multiplied by the hours it runs. Running multiple instances multiplies the charge.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance stops accruing this software fee. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage charges for attached volumes, but those are separate from the per-hour rate shown for each instance type.
You manage the server, uptime, backups, capacity, security, and upgrades yourself. You pay the hourly instance rate plus any AWS infrastructure costs. There is no managed hosting or premium support included. Plan to apply releases and maintain your instance as ongoing infrastructure.
