Data Acceleration Program (DAPP)

Approach

Adastra will work with the client to understand their business, application and technical environments, which include server, application, and database inventory gathering and required AWS tooling.

Activities required by Adastra to provide a current state assessment include the following:

• Discovery of relevant existing infrastructure and application(s)
• Identifying interdependency for assets that may impact net new workloads
• Existing and relevant SLA and uptime requirements
• Existing and relevant performance requirements
• Existing and relevant security and compliance requirements
• Existing and relevant data and storage requirements

Future State Discovery

Adastra will work with the client to understand their future state needs via discovery sessions. Discovery activities will include the following:

• An Art of the Possible session, where Adastra will walk through relevant applicable use cases and how to get started on AWS
• An ideation session to confirm relevant business stakeholders and stakeholder use cases
• Using an AWS cost calculator

Deliverables

Roadmap for Data Acceleration

Using the information gathered during the current and future state discovery phases, Adastra will work with the client to create a roadmap for AWS data acceleration. The roadmap will include recommended development patterns and frameworks aligned with the client’s business goals.

The roadmap will include:

• Prioritization of application(s) and/or net new workload builds
• A recommended build strategy
• Recommended future state target architecture
• Source and target architecture diagrams and/or data flow diagrams for prioritized use case(s)
• A list of the tools required to test the recommended strategies/patterns in preparation for the data acceleration use case(s)
