     Info
    Sold by: ATLASTICITY
Migrate manufacturing workloads from VMware to AWS to improve agility, reduce downtime, and create a cloud foundation for smart manufacturing initiatives.

    Overview

VMware Migration to AWS for Manufacturing helps manufacturers transition legacy VMware based infrastructure to AWS so they can modernize operations, improve scalability, and unlock the data, analytics, and automation needed for smart manufacturing. The service is designed for manufacturers looking to move beyond on premises constraints and establish a secure, scalable cloud foundation that supports production optimization, predictive maintenance, quality improvement, supply chain visibility, and sustainability initiatives.

AWS manufacturing solutions emphasize operational data as the foundation for improving equipment effectiveness, enabling analytics and AI, and accelerating digital transformation across industrial environments. This service prepares manufacturers to capture, analyze, and operationalize that data on AWS.

    Key Capabilities

    • Assessment and migration planning for VMware based manufacturing environments
    • Migration of legacy on premises manufacturing workloads to AWS
    • Cloud foundation design to support production optimization, asset performance, quality management, and supply chain visibility
    • Enablement of modern data strategies using AWS services for ingesting, storing, and analyzing industrial data
    • Preparation for smart manufacturing initiatives including predictive maintenance, IoT, computer vision, and digital twins

What It Solves Legacy infrastructure that limits agility and slows manufacturing innovation VMware based environments that restrict effective use of operational data Operational complexity from on premises and fragmented systems Limited scalability to support modern production and supply chain demands Lack of a cloud foundation delaying digital transformation

    Service Outcomes

    • A structured path to migrate VMware manufacturing workloads to AWS
    • Improved scalability and flexibility for plant and industrial operations
    • A cloud ready foundation for predictive maintenance and asset optimization
    • Better support for quality, safety, and connected supply chain initiatives
    • Readiness for sustainability and smart manufacturing programs

    Highlights

    • Cloud foundation for smart manufacturing
    • Migration path from legacy VMware to AWS

    Support

    Vendor support

Support is provided via scheduled working sessions during delivery, progress reporting, and email/Teams communication for questions and requirements gathering.

Common services utilized for the migration include Amazon EC2, Amazon EBS, Amazon S3, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon VPC, AWS IAM, and AWS Backup. Tooling may include AWS Application Migration Service (MGN), AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery, AWS Migration Hub, and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) depending on workload needs.

We design migration waves with cutover plans and maintenance windows, aiming to minimize disruption. Depending on workload characteristics, we can use replication-based approaches to reduce downtime and validate workloads in AWS before final cutover.

If you do not already have one, we can design and implement foundational components such as account structure, VPC/networking, IAM guardrails, logging/monitoring, and backup standards. If you have an existing landing zone, we validate fit and adjust the migration plan accordingly.

At closeout, we provide knowledge transfer and documentation. Ongoing managed services or extended support can be offered under a separate agreement. Contact us to discuss minimum commitments, 24x7 support capabilities, and tailored service options: sales@atlasticity.com  or call 612-474-1939.
