The primary financial driver for most engagements is licence-cost escape from Microsoft SQL Server (available on AWS Marketplace as Microsoft SQL Server 2022 Standard on Windows Server 2022) and Oracle commercial database estates, with AWS Database Migration Service and AWS Schema Conversion Tool used to convert schemas and migrate data to Amazon RDS or Amazon Aurora with near-zero downtime. Deliverables include a before-and-after licence position that makes the saving verifiable and auditable.
