Overview
Who this is for
Companies in Canada, the United States and Europe running production on one or more Amazon EKS clusters built by a former team or a vendor, with growing compute bills and an upcoming Kubernetes version deadline. The buyer is the CTO, VP Engineering or Head of Platform.
The problem
Clusters built in a hurry keep running long after the people who built them have moved on. Versions approach extended support, node groups are oversized, requests and limits are guesses, single points of failure hide in the platform layer, and nobody can say what an upgrade would break or what the clusters should cost.
What we deliver
Discovery. We review every cluster's versions and support dates, add-ons, node groups and autoscaling, workload requests, limits and disruption budgets, networking, identity, observability and backup, together with cost and usage data for the clusters.
Reliability and upgrade readiness. Deprecated APIs, unsupported add-ons and controllers, single points of failure and missing disruption budgets are listed per cluster, with the steps to a safe upgrade.
Cost. Rightsizing of node groups and workload requests, Karpenter, Spot and Graviton opportunities, and idle capacity and storage, each with an estimated monthly saving.
Plan. A prioritized remediation plan with effort and risk per action, reviewed with your team in a readout.
For ongoing operations after the plan, see Managed Kubernetes Operations and Upgrades for Amazon EKS by Dedicatted.
AWS services integrated
Amazon EKS, Karpenter, Amazon EC2 (including Graviton and Spot), Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon EBS, Amazon ECR, Amazon CloudWatch Container Insights, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Compute Optimizer, split cost allocation data for Amazon EKS and AWS IAM.
Outcomes
- A clear picture of every cluster's version, support date and upgrade risk.
- Reliability risks named and ranked before they cause an incident.
- Savings sized per action, so you can choose what to do first.
- A plan your team or ours can execute.
Evidence
Dedicatted holds the AWS Service Delivery validation for Amazon EKS and is in the AWS Well-Architected Partner Program. For a Canadian payment platform, a review of this kind preceded a production upgrade across several Kubernetes versions on parallel clusters without downtime, published as a case study on dedicatted.com. For a Paris-based ad-tech company, we upgraded seven production EKS clusters with zero downtime under a managed service.
Where we deliver
Dedicatted is an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner and AWS Managed Service Provider headquartered in Toronto and Montreal, Canada. It is the first Canadian partner to hold both AWS AI Competencies (Generative AI and Agentic AI) and the first and only Canadian AWS Partner to hold the AWS Digital Sovereignty Services Competency. We deliver across Canada, the United States and Europe, in English and French, and support Canadian data residency in the AWS Canada (Central) and Canada West (Calgary) Regions.
AWS infrastructure charges
The assessment uses read-only access and adds little AWS cost: Cost Explorer API requests and any short-lived analysis tooling. We work through a read-only IAM role you create and remove at the end.
Highlights
- A two-to-three-week assessment of your Amazon EKS clusters: versions and support dates, upgrade readiness with deprecated APIs and add-ons, reliability risks such as single points of failure and missing disruption budgets, and the security posture of the platform layer.
- Resource cost optimization sized per action: node group and workload rightsizing, Karpenter, Spot and Graviton opportunities, and idle capacity and storage, each with an estimated monthly saving, in a prioritized plan with effort and risk.
- From an AWS Premier Tier Services Partner with the Amazon EKS Service Delivery validation, whose review and zero-downtime upgrade for a Canadian payment platform is published as a case study.

Before you buy
- A scoping call confirms the clusters and AWS accounts in scope and what the assessment should inform, such as an upgrade, an audit or a budget, followed by a written scope and a private offer through AWS Marketplace.
During delivery
- A named engagement lead and a shared channel with the engineers doing the work, in English or French.
Response time
- Support requests receive a response within two business days.
After handover
- The findings, cost model and remediation plan are yours, and the read-only role is removed.
