    Overview

Dawarich - Self-Hosted Location History with Support

Self-hosted Google Location History replacement on EC2 with interactive maps, trip detection, and full data ownership via Docker and PostGIS.

Pre-configured AMI. Docker Compose handles all services on first boot. Published by Waltsoft.

SECURITY: This AMI binds services to localhost only. Configure a reverse proxy (Nginx/Caddy) with HTTPS for production access. Change all default passwords immediately after launch.

IMPORTANT: The t3.micro free tier instance may not have sufficient resources for all workloads. GPU-accelerated, memory-intensive, or multi-container applications require t3.medium or larger. Performance varies by instance type. Waltsoft provides the pre-configured deployment only and does not guarantee upstream software functionality.

    Highlights

    • Import Google Takeout, OwnTracks, and GPX files with zero data loss
    • Interactive map visualization with automatic trip and visit detection
    • REST API with full data export ensuring complete data sovereignty
