Overview

Serverless Architecture provides software development teams with the following:

• Capacity to build and run applications and services without having to manage infrastructure
• A way to run applications on servers but without the need to worry about server management; this is handled by the Cloud (IAAS)
• An approach that eliminates the need to provision, scale, and maintain servers to run applications, databases, and storage systems

AWS Lambda is an event-driven compute service from AWS that follows serverless architecture.
