Overview
Veritas™ InfoScale Enterprise is an enterprise-grade, heterogeneous, software-defined storage and resiliency solution. While its storage management capabilities enables a robust, manageable, and scalable storage deployment, the application and data availability competencies offer reliable, predictable, and high-performance operations across physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures.
InfoScale Enterprise provides a complete suite of storage and clustering capabilities for organizations that desire to deploy and run their tier-1 applications on cloud. It helps the organizations to meet their business needs by leveraging the public cloud services and infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This version of InfoScale Enterprise is a Bring-Your-Own-License (BYOL) version that enables you to deploy InfoScale Enterprise in an AWS cloud.
You can use AWS CloudFormation templates to deploy this version of InfoScale Enterprise. The product installation is an automated process that:
- Deploys the required EC2 instances
- Configures the necessary storage and network resources
- Configures an InfoScale Enterprise cluster (up to 8 nodes)
For details about the product deployment, using AWS CloudFormation templates, refer to Usage Information provided below.
The product is installed using a 60-day keyless license. Within 60 days of the product installation, add a valid license key.

Highlights
- Business continuity for enterprise applications within the same AWS Availability Zones (AZ) or across multiple AZs by leveraging Veritas Flexible Storage Sharing (FSS) technology for underlying EBS storage
- Data migration and disaster recovery using Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR), between different regions, or from an on-premises data center to a cloud data center, along with high availability agents for applications and network components
- Enhanced application performance using the InfoScale caching solution, SmartIO, by leveraging Amazon EC2 Instance Store, and intelligent data movement to the cloud using SmartMove technology to save on bandwidth and storage costs
