SSH server is installed and can be used to connect to the instance using the 'centos' user and the key specified at launch For additional information on connecting to AWS instances please access Connect to your Linux instance using SSH - Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud The images is updated at the moment of upload and updates are performed on a regular basis Red Hat continues to publish the date of June 30, 2024 as the end of Maintenance Support for RHEL 7, the upstream for CentOS 7. RHEL 7 was released on June 10, 2014, so the June 2024 EOL date for CentOS 7 is the full 10 years that we expected Please note the this AMI comes with additional charges for support

Usage Instructions: Login using 'centos' user and ssh public key authentication. cloud-init included.
Info regarding virtual machines The operating system does not save any sensitive information for the customers. The customer is responsible for saving any information, sensitive or not. The data saved on the volumes is not encrypted by default. All instance authentication must use key pair access, not password-based authentication. AMIs does not contain passwords, authentication keys, key pairs, security keys, or other credentials. PasswordAuthentication is set to NO in sshd_config. The application does not make use of any encryption techniques.
Troubleshooting Navigate to your Amazon EC2 console and verify that you're in the correct region. Choose Instance and select your launched instance. Select the server to display your metadata page and choose the Status checks tab at the bottom of the page to review if your status checks passed or failed.
