Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for the preparation of operating system for deployment of Oracle software products and the support and guidance from CloudBldr for this deployment.
Oracle Enterprise Linux 8.9.
This version of OEL is specifically configured for running Oracle e-Business Suite 12.2, also referred to as Oracle Applications.
This AMI contains; The required RPM to run e-Business Suite 12.2 AWS Cloudwatch Agent and configuration AWS Systems Management agent AWS Command Line IPV6 disabled (incompatible with e-Business Suite install) Disabled Firewalld (incompatible with e-Business Suite install) Disabled SELinus (incompatible with e-Business Suite install) Plus AWS friendly configuration including cloud-init and chrony

Amazon Machine Image (AMI)
An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
Ssh to the instance public IP and login as 'cloudbldr' using the key specified at launch time. Use 'sudo su -' in order to get a root prompt. For more information please visit the links below:

The configuration of the operating system does not by default store sensitive data nor does it have any pre-configure encryption. It is the responsibility of the customer to use an appropriate controls on data placed the operating system and encrypt any volumes on which customer data is stored.
The SSH configuration is setup to deny access by password, therefore SSH access to the instance can be achieved using the Keypair the customer defined during creation of the instance.
Alternatively the assuming the appropriate IAM role has been assigned at the point of instance creation then command line access to the instance can be gained through AWS System Manager Session manager: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/systems-manager/latest/userguide/session-manager.html
Troubleshooting: In the event the instance cannot be accessed Navigate to the EC2 management console for the region the instance was launched in. Select instances in the left hand menu then select Status checks tab at the bottom of the page and verify that both have passed.
