AppZ Platform Easy Install CloudFormation Template
Appz builds 3 node(1 master and 2 workers) Kubernetes cluster with Canonical microk8s and install AppZ Product ready for GitOps via Webhook. AppZ Easy install option uses lowtouch.cloud public DNS Service to generate DNS for the Master Node EC2 instance public IP and LetsEncrypt to generate ssl certificate. AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. Fully automated , agile ,next gen cloud solution
App-z , It was amazing experience to build t3a.xlarge - K8 cluster for deploying apps in my AWS account in 23 minutes . As it says its really low touch with less hassle to address deployment ,operation control and Monitoring along with today’s Security , Audit compliance and Risk Requirements . Overall this solution delivered beyond my expectations .
Wow- It is really Low Touch
It was a really great experience to use Cloud Control’s AppZ platform to onboard applications on AWS cloud. It took hardly half an hour for me to deploy the Kubernetes cluster in AWS cloud and only with a few clicks. Whereas I was trying to do it manually the same, and it took five to six hours. I don’t have to worry about configurations, security, VPC, logging and enabling a set of other AWS services. It was taken care of automatically. To learn more about the Appz platform, I joined Cloud Control’s workshop through Linked-in and their slack channel. Support team was very friendly, knowledgeable, and responded quickly.
K8s Cluster in 30 minutes on EC2 instances
Thrilled to see an elegantly designed AppZ platform in AWS marketplace, to deploy and manage K8s clusters in AWS cloud. With few clicks one can create a cluster with the required resources in minutes. Once the cluster is created, users can deploy the applications of their choice using AppZ provided curated images. The beauty is that neither K8s expertise nor AWS exposure is required to develop applications in the cloud. Platform provided dashboard provides the status and metrics for analysis.
GitOps ready K8s cluster, that was easy..
I participated in the Cloud Control AppZ Platform beta program as I had attended one of their workshops. They have a unique offering to build a production ready Kubernetes cluster ready for GitOps. I was able to build the kubernetes cluster in my AWS account within 30 minutes. They also offer application stacks like mysql, wordpress etc, I tried some of the sample stacks. I like the fact that hashicorp vault is fully integrated in the cluster for secret management. I contacted their support and got a prompt response. They need to work on documentation but overall it is a unique offering in the AWS marketplace. I used t3a.xlarge to build my K8 cluster, CloudControl should also support smaller instances for Development and Sandbox.
