A document is one file you upload for governed sharing. Each file moves through domain detection, PII scanning, masking, validation, and sharing. The Starter tier covers 5,000 documents per month, Professional covers 50,000, and Enterprise covers unlimited documents and storage.
Each tier includes a set monthly document allowance. If you exceed it, overage charges apply for the committed term. Starter and Professional both meter documents monthly. Enterprise carries unlimited documents and storage, so volume overages do not apply at that tier.
Tiers map to unit counts, so you choose your tier by selecting units. One unit is Starter, three units is Professional, ten units is Enterprise. Moving to more clients, higher document volume, or added governance features means selecting a higher unit count, not an automatic upgrade.
