Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
The Kafbat UI software itself is free and open source, so no license fee applies. What you pay for is the underlying AWS EC2 compute time, billed hourly. Each dimension represents a specific EC2 instance type you can choose to run the software on. They vary by instance family and size, covering general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, and storage-optimized options. Your cost scales with the instance type you select and the number of hours it runs. Larger or specialized instances carry different hourly rates. Pick the instance that fits your Kafka monitoring workload.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Do I pay a license fee for the Kafbat UI software itself?
No. The Kafbat UI software is free and open source, so no software license fee applies. You pay only for the underlying AWS EC2 compute time, billed by the hour based on the instance type you select. The rate varies by instance family and size.
Am I charged when the EC2 instance running Kafbat UI is stopped?
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing hourly compute charges. However, stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The hourly rate meters running time on your chosen instance type.
What does each hourly dimension represent, and how do I choose one?
Each dimension maps to one specific AWS EC2 instance type, such as general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, or storage-optimized families. You run one instance and pay its hourly rate for each hour it runs. Pick the instance whose CPU and memory match your Kafka monitoring workload.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
This AMI includes the pre-installed Kafbat UI, which will automatically launch upon instance startup. To access it, open the delegated IP address in a web browser on port 8080 and configure your instance.

Apache Kafka is the distributed event streaming platform for high-throughput pipelines, messaging and stream processing. Kafka 4.x runs in KRaft mode - no ZooKeeper - as a single combined controller+broker node. This Lynxroute build is hardened and ready out of the box: the internal broker listener is bound to loopback, external clients connect over a SASL_SSL listener (SCRAM auth + TLS) with a user generated at first boot, and the bundled Kafbat UI management console sits behind an nginx TLS perimeter with login-form auth on port 443. 100% Apache-2.0 - no proprietary components, no vendor lock-in - on CIS Level 1 hardened Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
Power up your real-time data with our expert Apache Kafka solutions, intuitive Kafka UI, and seamless streaming services—delivering performance, scalability, and innovation for your business!
